Ritzy's — Restaurant in Owensboro

I wanted to post this to speak of customer service. Usually, I never have a problem with Ritzeys. I don’t want this to say that ritzys is a bad establishment. But on this particular day, I found it to be a bit ridiculous.

I came in to order pints of ice cream. My sisters ordered a pint of two half’s a different flavor of ice cream. For some reason this seemed to be comparable to building Noah’s Ark. The cashier asked another team member if they could do this; the other team replied “We Can…but I usually say, No. But since you already ordered their ice cream way, I’ll just help you.” The team member mentioned that they’ve only worked there for months, and have never seen it done this way. Saying “might have been done in the past but, not now since I work here”

It would’ve been one thing to end it there. But I had to listen, to them complain about having to make only two pints of ice cream this way. And even commented on how if a customer wanted their milkshakes a certain way; they’d only put some of the ingredients in.

Not only was it unprofessional; but the complaining made my two young sisters uncomfortable, as if they had done something wrong. I get it you don’t want to put ice cream into a cup, but that has nothing to do with the customer. If you’re putting ice cream into a pint, does it really matter if you put two different...

We love Ritzy's food so much! I always get the hamburger and a fry; very good for the price. I was really sad today, not with the food, but the delivery line girl put a very bad taste in our mouths. Our fault - we forgot to order a chicken strip basket at the time the order was placed, and I had to tell her at the window. You would have thought I was asking her to go out back and kill the chicken herself! Rolled her eyes, short questions, all while completely disregarded every extremely over the top apology that I was giving her. I hope she was just having a bad day, and I probably should not boo hoo over it - but she made my customer experience so terrible! I hate to be this whiney, I truly never am, which is why I hate to do this but she about made me cry! Seriously! Anyways, I hope someone can at least tell her to get an attitude adjustment. Or maybe the will help the next person that comes across her to simply brush it off their shoulders. I really with I could, but I just couldn't deal with the rudeness today. Very nastalgic, home-made ice cream place. Their grilled chicken wasn't really grilled, it was boiled to cook and then just thrown on the grill for aesthetics. The fried chicken sandwich was better. The lettuce on the sandwiches was fresh. The floors were sticky and carpets need a good vacuum and shampooing. The staff were very, very friendly. They give a Jr size ice cream in the children's meals. Their ice cream tastes good. They make real chocolate milkshakes by using chocolate ice cream instead of vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce but they will make either...
