Hardee’s — Restaurant in Owosso

So, not too long ago, I would agree with many of the negative reviews on this location. But now I have jumped ship. I'm not sure if this Hardee's has new management or not, but the last 3 times I have been to this location, it has been nearly perfect. This last time, my burger WAS perfect. It even looked just like the picture. And there wasn't too much mayo or ketchup, which sometimes is the case with Hardee's burgers (I must clarify that I like too much ketchup and mustard on my burgers, but many others do not, so for the sake of this review, the condiment levels were perfect 🤷🏼‍♂️). I ordered the famous star. Which used to be known as the 3rd lb Thickburger. They recently renamed some of their menu items, which, in my opinion, helped simplify things. My crispy curly fries were cooked exactly the way they should've been and were not soft or too crispy. Finally, after many tries, and many times of letting an employee know that their CO2 and syrup ratios were a bit off on their soda fountain, my cherry coke tasted perfect. The only reason I say the experience as a whole was nearly perfect is because I ordered through the Hardee's app and chose to go inside to pick up my order. They hadn't received it yet, and I had placed the order 20 minutes prior, and also paid for it 20 minutes prior. They immediately worked on my order, though, and had it ready within minutes. And that wasn't this particular Hardee's fault anyway. This would be a back office technical issue. So, really, I could say the whole experience was perfect. It's been years since I have been able to enjoy the food from ANY Hardee's Restaurants since they closed the two that were located in my City. So today, while on a trip to Visit My Amazing Daughter, I was passing through Owasso Michigan and I spotted a Hardee's and pulled in. I'm so grateful for my decision. I had forgotten just how Amazing Hardee's Food is. Now let me start by saying that I INTENSIONALLY Over Ordered because I have not had it in so long and don't know when I will be back in this area again. Let's start with my Incredible Chicken Quesadilla which had an Amazing Flavor in the Seasoning on the Chicken. Combined with its Delicious Cheese, I was in Heaven. Hurry if you want this Amazing Treat as Hardee's is discontinuing it on August 1st. Next up was the Phenomenal Hot Ham and Cheese Sandwich which was Absolutely Outstanding. The Ham was a very good quality ham with an Outstanding Smoked Flavor the Blended Perfectly with the Cheese 🧀. No gristle or fat, just Exceptionally Good Ham. Next my Incredible Burger. It's the Flavor that I was Craving when I spotted their Sign. That's the Taste of a Fantastic Char Broiled Burger 🍔. I briefly got to speak to the General Manager, Dave, who was FAR ABOVE Exceptionally Nice. He also gave me a bit of hope about a couple of locations closer to my home. Hardee’s has really downsized their menu along with their menu items.

On my first visit, I got the five-piece chicken tenders. The tenders were dry and were quite possibly smaller than the Tyson breaded tenders you get in the frozen section of the grocery store. They were also considerably more expensive. That was strike one.

On the next visit, I ordered a chicken quesadilla with three soft tacos. The quesadilla had hardly any chicken (mostly cheese) and the tacos were made with mini tortillas. The total cost was well over $10. Strike number two.

I reluctantly visited a third time and ordered three plain double cheeseburgers and a large fry, and the total turned out to be $12.68. The burger patties were no bigger than a breakfast sausage patty (see the pictures). The fries were nothing special. That was the third strike and the final straw.

And, to add more insult to injury, the employees can be a bit on the unprofessional side. During one of my visits, they were talking quite loud and saying some foul language in the process. I could overhear them in the dining room as could a couple of other customers seated close to me.
