I really wanted to love this place since I'm a National Harbor resident and love bar food. The waitresses were friendly but not friendly enough for me not to leave this review... The "premium side" salad is $10, (it's called the "Amazing Little Salad") and consists of a bowl of lettuce with two-quarters of one slice of tomato, exactly three croutons, and two scoops (yes, they looked like little scoops of ice cream) of "goat cheese." I [shamefully] eat multiple types of cheese, including goat cheese, nearly every day and I had to ask what the scoops of the white stuff were because it didn't taste like anything. The tiny side dish of corn and black beans that came with the tacos was also completely tasteless. I don't know how so many ingredients managed to have such a lack of taste. Amazing. I also ordered a side of fries for my daughter a few minutes after I ordered...because she refused to order any food when I ordered. Mysteriously or magically(?), her fries arrived within 3 minutes of placing the order. The fries were lukewarm which leads me to believe that the fries were not made for us but may have been repurposed. For $31, I got three chicken tacos and a side of warm fries. I think I got the side salad removed from the bill, but I didn't see the bill before paying. I've tried to eat here twice, and both times I left feeling really underwhelmed with the quality of the food for the price. Bar food has quite a low bar, but this place still fails to meet it. I will not be giving Tom's a third try. Again, I really wanted to love (or even like) this place, but it's just so bad. I can't wait for Bob and Edith's Diner to open in National Harbor.

Tom's Watch Bar is a hidden gem for watch enthusiasts and food lovers alike. The restaurant's unique concept of combining a watch boutique with a trendy bar creates an atmosphere that is both sophisticated and inviting. Upon entering Tom's Watch Bar, you are immediately greeted by a stunning display of exquisite timepieces. The staff is knowledgeable and passionate about watches, and they are more than happy to share their expertise with customers. The menu at Tom's Watch Bar is just as impressive as their watch collection. From delectable appetizers to mouthwatering main courses, the culinary offerings are sure to satisfy even the most discerning palate. The presentation of each dish is artfully done, making the dining experience truly memorable. Our waitress Jessica was outstanding!! She took very good care of us. She was incredibly attentive and friendly. Her recommendation of the chicken nachos was on point. The drink selection at Tom's Watch Bar is equally impressive. The bartenders are skilled mixologists who can craft a wide range of cocktails to suit any taste. Whether you prefer classic concoctions or innovative creations, you will find something that delights your senses. The ambiance of Tom's Watch Bar is sophisticated yet relaxed. So many TVs for your viewing! Overall, Tom's Watch Bar is a hidden gem that offers a unique and unforgettable dining experience. Whether you are a watch enthusiast or simply someone who appreciates good food and drinks, this restaurant is a must-visit. So, grab your friends or loved ones and head over to Tom's Watch Bar for an evening of indulgence.

We spent a few nights on a "stay-cation" here @the National Harbor! It was great and there are so many things to do there and an impressive dining scene. Toms was your usual sports bar experience, but we came close to closing. Anyway we sat outside al-fresco style in the night breeze. I loved their patio dining section. Eat, drink and people watching and just soaking up the evening's electric ambience in this fun city! The food was typical gastropub fare. Nothing out of the ordinary or particularly special stood out to either one of us, even though it was enjoyable. My favorite dish was the bacon and lobster Mac and cheese. (The menu offers BOTH lobster Mac and bacon mac as two distinct separate dishes—I requested both combined in a single dish, for an increased cost). They DO have amazing drinks here however this was expected being a sports bar. I'd probably come here for happy hour or to watch a game, ordering a few drinks and slight appetizers, but in the main course meal department, I'll pass... Good but not great by any means, I could've made this better at home. Judging solely on food, it be a definite solid "3" star experience. The atmosphere, customer service and cocktails saved this review from receiving just 3-stars.

I am visiting from California and on Wed April 24th 2024 at approximately 1030p est I had the WORST experience at your restaurant less than one minute of my coming in. I arrived and simply asked a waitress, unfortunately, I did not get her name, was it okay to sit at the bar? She responded in a very hostile, rude, and nasty attitude stating (shrugged shoulders) "It's a bar????". Surprised at her response, I stated "I was just asking" and my mother proceeded to nicely tell her "We are not from here, so we were just asking." Instead of corrected her tone and possibly offering an apology for how she spoke to us she proceeded to be rude and not offer any assistance. We selected a table, and no one ever came over to assist us. The same waitress walked past us, with an eye rolling gesture still agitated and not welcoming. A party came in after us and we were still not assisted. After a short time we decided to leave without ordering anything. The waitresse's attitude was so deplorable that we were unable to fathom enjoying our time at your restaurant. This type of action is so unacceptable and we were outraged to say the least. If based on the date and time you are able to determine the employee that we experienced this with, it would be in your best interest to address her behavior to avoid losing future customers. A person with that attitude clearly will leave a negative impression and review such as this. I hope that this brings attention to something that you should address immediately.

P.S. - I put 1 star because that is the only way I could post this...
