For those looking for things to do in Page, you might want to pop into The Powell Museum and Visitor Centre ($3 per person) on N. Lake Powell Blvd. Opening hours are 9am to 5pm daily. Here you will find a small museum with a handful of rooms which cover several areas of interest. The Colorado River history details reports of early expeditions and pioneer discovery of the region by way of river based trips. This was quite interesting. We also enjoyed the small section on the history of Page, Arizona. You will learn a bit about the town's founding, the dam project and see pictures from the early days of this community. There are further displays covering human history, geology and paleontology for this region of Arizona, which round out your visit to the Powell Museum. Overall, the museum exhibitions are rather brief, being made up of fair mix of of text, old photos and displays items - nothing too demanding on visitors. You can conveniently view everything in 20-30 minutes. There is a small gift shop on site where you might find souvenirs worth buying.

A great place to take a break from the heat. The John Wesley Powell Museum is located with the local visitors bureau in downtown Page. The price is right when you consider the cost is free for the whole family. You will get a chance to learn the history of the Colorado River, explorers, local tribes, geology and dinosaurs. Don't forget to check the trading post as there are plenty of souvenirs for everyone.

The ladies at the museum were very informative! Really enjoyed the museum, beautiful art and interesting facts about John Powell and his trip through the Grand Canyon, he even had ties to Maine! With a house built there and the bed frame on display.
