Eh. We came in and asked for advice on what to do in the area since we did not win the wave. It was like pulling teeth to get some suggestions...I'm sure if you're here to get your wave permit, it's fine, otherwise I wouldn't come in to ask for information.
Reply to business comment: There was information available, it was just pulling teeth to get the two ladies at the desk to mention anything or take initiative to help us with suggestions. Neither even mentioned a tour company (which we were originally interested in getting suggestions on) but we were so turned off by the weirdness of it all, we just left and didn't book any tours. It was just a bummer. We went to Glen Canyon visitor center. They were super helpful, nice and immediately got suggestions without us having to practically beg. Another lesson to us about why Federal staff have been 10/10 and private staff (city or chamber of commerce in your case) haven't been...don't think I've ever met a Department of Interior worker who wasn't helpful and this experience with you all this solidified...
Read moreWe came to the "official" tourist information hub to get information about canyon tours and the area. Aside from booking us a Antelope Canyon tour and letting us browse through the binder of other pricey tours, no additional ℹ️ about the area was given. When we asked if there was anything else to see, explore in there area, the answer we were given was 'no'. No??! So, after doing our own research, we visited Horseshoe Bend and found a wonderful swimming hole to cool off in after an extremely hot day. The young women who booked our tour, as if we were inconveniencing her, and gave us no information regarding Horseshoe Bend should clearly not be working there. An extremely negative experiencing after visiting so many other areas in CA, AZ and UT. This is certainly not State Park/National Park service. Extreme disappointing to receive so little information about such a...
Read moreWe went to The Hub as a recommendation from a local gallery. We were told they may have prints to buy of the local geography (ie White Pocket, The Wave). Allison was very friendly and helpful. We saw several prints in the store but wanted to check out other places. Allison recommended several other locations. After checking out the other stores, we felt the prints at The Hub surpassed the selection elsewhere. At our request, Allison offered to contact the photography artists to see if they would consider a reduced price if we bought several pieces. We ended up buying 3 spectacular prints and an amazing print on metal for a reduced price. Allison was extremely friendly and very helpful....
