I would certainly have given it negative 50 stars if that were an option. This hotel has poor management and doesn't know how to handle complaints properly. They aren't in it to satisfy the customer whatsoever. At the time of check out, we complained about our poor experience. We booked the room in advance and were given the worst room (a hotel staff member's words, not mine). This room was right by the ice machine, the stairs, the housekeeping closet, and the breakfast eating area. We maybe slept all of three hours for all the noise outside our door. We also had people above us stomping about like elephants in the middle of the night. The best part was that we paid $184 for the worst hotel we've ever stayed at. We've stayed at much nicer hotels for much less. So we asked for a partial refund at check out. We were told by staff they could issue a refund and if that didn't suffice, we could reach back out. We just wanted to get out of there and didn't realize that we should have heckled. Since I didn't specify refund amounts, what they gave me was 10%, which was laughable. I pushed back over the course of several WEEKS, saying it wasn't sufficient. I sent them three un-returned emails and called twice before getting a hold of a manager. Once I finally spoke with someone, she told me because we didn't argue the refund amount at the time of check out, we were out of luck. So I filed a formal complaint with corporate. Corporate mediated a very one-sided conversation with the hotel owner and eventually told me to dispute the charge with my bank. So I'm in the middle of that right now, asking for a 35% refund on that charge to my card...
Long story short, if you want to spend $180+ on a hotel that doesn't care if you sleep well, has thread-bare towels and broken faucets, and offers cereal for breakfast, be my guest. Go for it. They are severely overcharging for this hotel. And I will never return as management did a horrid job of handling...
Read moreTerrible, run down, trashy hotel where the AC is incredibly loud like it is about to explode and where the WIFI drops you randomly throughout the day for no apparent reason. No idea how they smashed so much stuff in the room, I could barely walk around. I had to jump on the beds to move throughout the room. Idea, maybe convert that to a single bed instead of 2 queens so people can move throughout the room? The worst part was the air conditioning and some horrifically loud noise in the bathroom. I honestly think that wall mounted air conditioning is about to explode or go out. It was constantly clicking and rumbling which kept me up most of the night. I like the room to be cold but eventually was pissed off from waking up so many times that I shut it off. At that point that is when I noticed a noise coming from behind the bathroom walls, like a generator or washer and dryer constantly running. Maybe it was the room next doors air vent that pulls air out of the bathroom going out and the loud noise seeped into my room. When you stepped into the room you could feel the walls vibrating. I just couldn’t get to sleep fully and it ruined my trip the next day to Antelope Canyon. This place calls themselves ‘Americas Best Value inn’ but somehow managed to rip me off for $150, no idea how they can charge over $40 for this garbage place! I have opened a dispute with my credit card and opened a case...
Read moreBasic motel, nothing great,.. Good for one night
Keeping expectation from any motel is going to disappoint you. So I was not keeping any expectation except the neat bed. We were coming from Grand Canyon and had a very bad day. The south rim was closed due to snow (they did not even clean the road and my car skid once). I was not very happy and due to the park was closed, I had to take a detour of an extra 140 Miles to reach Page. Reached page around 6:30 PM MST. The whole town was covered in snow and nothing was cleaned. Shops –restaurants did not clean their yard’s snow. Annoyed at first sight. Reached hotel, same case here too. Parking was not cleaned. Parked my car anyhow. Reached to counter and the lady was there to greet us. We got our key quickly and headed to the room. Even by motel standard, this is a very small motel.
You don’t have much choice in Page, AZ. So whatever I got, I booked. Room was clean and smell free. We changed one room cause that was stinking badly. Queen bed, small table & Chairs. The bathroom was very big compared to the room. It was good room and I did not have any complaint.
Hotel is just a block away from the main road. Horseshoe band- antelope is just 15-30 mins drive from here. They offer breakfast (just basic stuff, like banana-milk-cereal-Bagel), free Wi-Fi...
