Iām from Houston, Here on vacation to celebrate my oldest sonās college graduation/birthday. We donāt see each other too often as we live so far away from each other. So we really cherish our time together. He was so excited to bring me to this Restaurant. We walked in and the restaurant was super busy, which gave us high hopes. We were seated after standing there for about 10 mins without even a greeting, and was taken back by the service. We ordered the spring rolls as an appetizer which we never received. We were seated for at least an hour + before I even received my drink( a vodka Martini with olive juice on the side). That was completely wrong it had lime juice in it! She eventually gave me the right drink after I explained how to make it. We were still patiently waiting and asked the waitress how much longer it would be and she said she would check. As she went to ask the cook ( which is eye and ear view) he started cussing at the server in front of everyone as they continue to argue very loudly The table seated next to us got up and left in utter disbelief. Waitress came back and said our order was up next. Imagine to our surprise when the table who arrived after us received there food before us!!! š”. As we finally decided to go ahead and leave , as we are walking out the waitress says to me āhe just finished wrapping your spring rollsā.. I mean REALLY???? It may have been an off day for the restaurant however, it isnāt hard to let people know how long the wait will be. They should be honest about timing and let hungry customers decide on their own if theyāve got 2 hours to spare!!! Thatās called plain old CUSTOMER SERVICE. So sad that we cannot get that time back and were left in tears because of how ATROCIOUS the work ethic is here! And feeling bad because I just would never dare to walk out EVER. We were literally so hungry that We just came home and ate leftover pizza. Just to be clear, I do not EVER leave bad reviews unless itās 100 percent absolutely earned. Negative stars for me , and my son is even embarrassed to have even suggested this restaurant. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Worst...

The ChatThai is a quiet, comfortable little hideaway located in a strip mall along the main road in Pahrump, NV. When we arrived, we didn't think to mention we had a reservation since we almost never make reservations. During the meal the owner asked the waitress about the reservation and they decided to take the table 'down'... I didn't realize at first, but after a few seconds realized that WE were that reservation. I let her know that we were the reservation and apologized for creating extra work for her.
We ordered fresh Spring Rolls, Yom Tom soup, Drunk Pan Fried Noodles with Beef and Green Curry with Jasmine Rice.
How this guy is still operating in a little tucked away bistro is beyond me. His food is phenomenal, the best meal I have ever had. Bar None. Literally. He would give Gordon Ramsay a run for his money.
We watch a lot of Gordon Ramsay and he always talks about the flavours and that you can taste all the different flavours and they all blend together so well. I never understood what the hell he was talking about. Honestly, I'm not a foodie. We just like to eat out a lot.
Now I know what Gordon is talking about. The food at ChatThai is an experience that I highly recommend. I don't know the Owner/Chef (who's name is Chat I learned while writing this) and in fact, did not even speak to him today, though I should have and regret not having done so now. As always, we have received nothing for this review.
I can't express to you the quality of his flavours, it is simply Elegant. That is the only way I can explain it and I know it doesn't explain anything but that is literally the word I felt on my tongue as I ate. Elegant.
The environment is very warm and welcoming, there was quiet oriental music playing in the background that really added to the ambiance beautifully. The Waitress this evening was Jen and she was fantastic, very professional and thorough. I have dietary requirements and she was very helpful with how our order would fit my personal needs.
This will be our only stop in any future Pahrump visits. I think I somehow turned a corner today after experiencing this food and I am...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe food is good. A bit pricey. The service is rude and disrespectful as a customer we were shocked to recieve the service we got from a very angry waitress. We also waited a long time for service. They are just too busy for one person to serve the whole room. I had gone there for years but each time we have gone there for diner they have 1 waitress that serves the whole room. I am not sure if this is becuase she wants to make as much money as she can or if the owner does not want to pay a second waitress... but the service is horrible. You have long wait times for anything you order like even silverware or a drink. But I think the most surprising and shocking thing is that each time we have gone in after4 pm the night waitress is brutally and shockingly disrespectul and angry. And so for this reason we will never return. Obviously she is stressed and can not handle serving that many people at once. Nor should she. But she takes it out on the customers. She has said some surprisinlgy rude things to my wife who was not combative at all with her. So for this reason we will never return. As part of the chamber of commerce we were saddened by this and willl not be reccomending this restaurant anymore. Honestly I can't beleive they would keep someone who is repeatedly and blatendly rude to customers to be allowed to contiunue to treat people in this way. I see others on here who have had the same problem with the service so this is not the first time...
