We keep coming back to this place and recommending it to others. The quality of the beverages just never disappoints. There's a little play area for kiddos, and there was a magician named Jack doing walk-around magic while we enjoyed our flights.

If you leave this place without at least one growler to enjoy at a second location, you'll regret it later. Sure, you can get tasty wines at lots of places here in Pahrump, but Stonewise is a singular experience, not only for their excellent beverage offerings, but also for the atmosphere and their obvious and infectious passion for the art of making tasty and innovative meads, ciders, cysers, and wines.

Pro tip: It seems like everything they make that includes coffee is absolutely exquisite. My goodness, it's always heaven. And it sells out quickly. If they have some while you're there, try it while you can! It's likely to be gone soon afterward.

What a delight!

We (party of 2) arrived to find the place almost packed with a rowdy bunch, about an hour before closing on Saturday. Inside, it's clean and neat. The bathrooms were clean as well. We took the remaining table and were given a menu by the Lady of the house. The patrons who were already there seemed to really know the owners, and there was lots of chit-chatting while we looked over the current selection. We each ordered flights and were served fairly quickly, despite the crowd. The Mead Goddess (I didn't get her name) arranged our flights to curate the flavor experience for each of us, based on what we each selected. We managed to only have 1 duplicate between us, so we of course took samples from each other! We took a whiff of the first cup and sipped away...

AND IT WAS AMAZING!

This is what mead is supposed to be! We both were quickly swept away by the waves of sweet and dry fruitiness. Everything was delicious, every single flavor! Of course, we did each end up with favorites (the Big Petrowski for me, the cherry one for him), but it was hard to choose. I've long been a mead-freak, but the stuff from the liquor store just does nothing for my enjoyment of the drink. Stonewise meads are, by and far, ALL absolutely worthy of becoming favorites.

Mead Goddess took the time to explain everything to us and let us know about seasonal flavors. It was a really enjoyable experience, and we'll definitely be back. The flights were only $8 each, and nice-size glasses are only $7. We, of course, took home growlers ($20 filled, $12 for refills) of our favorites. We can't wait to see what other flavors come up!

Compared to Vegas drink/bar prices, Stonewise is amazing for value, atmosphere, and experience.

A fantastic find in the heart of Pahrump! Stonewise Mead and Cider is an absolute gem and a must-visit for anyone who appreciates quality craft beverages. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is incredibly welcoming and laid-back. The owners and staff are passionate and knowledgeable, always willing to guide you through their impressive and ever-changing selection of meads and ciders. The variety of flavors is truly exceptional. Whether you're a seasoned mead drinker or a curious first-timer, there's something to delight your palate. I particularly loved the crisp, refreshing "sessionable" options on tap, and the higher ABV limited releases are a real treat. The creativity they put into their recipes is evident in every single sip. The taproom itself is cozy and comfortable, with a great sense of community. It’s the perfect spot to relax with friends, and the fact that they are family-friendly (with a designated play area for kids!) is a huge bonus. You can tell this is a true labor of love. This place is absolutely phenomenal. This is not your typical dark, loud brewery playing annoying music. Stonewise was bright, airy, and inviting. We tried a few flights with different types of meads and ciders, along with a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon. All were so delicious. Our favorite was the Jotunn’s Ruin Viking Style bottled mead and the Trixie on draft. Our kid even had a great time in the kids play area while we enjoyed our adult beverages. The server was also very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Such a cool place and we can’t wait to go back!

Update 11/2024. We have been to Stonewise many times since the first review, each visit is better than the last. Chris and Shawna are amazing and are part of the reason why we decided to sell our home in Vegas and move to Pahrump. They are wonderful people and they run a great business.
