Zaxby's Chicken Fingers & Buffalo Wings — Restaurant in Palatka

They need a new drive thru speaker or microphone. Half the stuff on the menu isn't available if you show up too late. Shouldn't be that way. Sandwich had no sauce on it at all. Everything was so salty (even for a fast food joint). Sweet tea came warm. They came and dumped a pitcher of something out the window at the drive thru six inches away from us which was odd behavior - thought they were coming with food and they just dump a pitcher and don't even look at us or say anything. Close to $18 for two meals - not terrible by today's standard but no value options on the menu. Most of all, they disappointed my girlfriend and only I'm allowed to do that. Despite their slogan, the chicken sandwich war is indeed over, and they have lost majorly.

Update: on a second visit six months later (this time during the day) the drive through experience was much better and it seems they fixed the speaker issues. The food still seems saltier than most fast food places. The food was good though, the service was good. I still question the value. The salad was over $9 which seems like a lot for a drive through salad and it wasn't that big (though seemed so with the classically deceptive container it came in - wide at the top and very narrow at the bottom). No ketchup given for fries and I wasn't asked if I wanted any.

Lastly, someone needs to call them out for what they are doing with their ice. We all know that restaurants like this fill their cups as high as they can with ice. And we are used to that. However, Zaxbys uses ice cubes half the size of less of all the other places, leaving far less space between the cubes for drink. A handful of sips and your medium sized drink is gone. Drink to food ratio is all off.

Update 2022: Had to update this from 5 stars 3 yrs ago to 3 stars now. First if you dine in the food is still great. No issues. However, the last several times we ordered to-go mobile orders there were issues. They are sloppy, the sandwiches come messy with ripped up buns. The fries are ice cold out the window. The portions are much smaller. The worst problem is the Zalads. They're my favorite fast-food salads but every time I do a mobile order they don't make the salad right. Tonight they forgot to put the cheese and fried onions on it. Last time they forgot the onions and bacon and dressing. Like I said, I've never had a single issue when eating in the store. So you must stop and open everything up to make sure its hot, not falling apart, and has everything you pay for. I assume this is just lazy workers that they have had to hire because of...

This is some NASTY FOOD, I got the 3 pcs fingers deal with fries & Texas toast & a drink.

The fries were so SALTY I threw 3/4 of them away because my tongue was burning!

The chicken seemed like it had been sitting up on a, keep me warm plate or something It was NOT FRESH!

The Texas toast was STALE at best!

I Will NEVER GO BACK to Zaxbys, 10 thumbs down, DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

UPDATE: apparently lying is part of the management team, STATUS QUO, of this company BECAUSE, I RECEIVED a Email saying, rarely do they get negative replies, usually it's all positive and yet when I scroll through the long list of reviews, there is NEGATIVE after NEGATIVE after NEGATIVE, basically saying the same thing as me!
