Wetzel's Pretzels — Restaurant in Palm Bay

So I decided to stop in here instead of going all the way to AAs while out shopping. So this is my second time going to a wetzel's pretzels but my first time going to this location. I would describe this visit as disappointing. It was pretty busy on a weekday. There were two employees but I think one of them may have been too young to actually do anything productive at the location other than hand out samples and do some light cleaning. There was an older Spanish lady and she said that she was the only employee working so I don't know if she meant the other girl was slacking or if they were hired to do specific jobs and maybe had age restrictions. The lady ran the register and made the pretzels. The ovens are on the smaller side and can make four of the larger pretzels per sheet. We ordered two plain salted pretzels, and they had to be baked, which is fine. There was another person in front of us she was waiting for their pretzels to be finished cooking so we waited about 8 to 10 minutes. During this time, the lady prepared more pretzels to bake, and she was working the register. There was another family that came up to get pretzels, and they got their items and left and then came back because they said that their order was wrong. It seemed like the issue stemmed from a language barrier, and they ended up having to wait for more pretzels to be made. But as for our order, we ordered the salt ones, and there was so much salt on them that even with removing the salt, it was still overpowering the pretzel. One of us got a dipping sauce, and the sauce was so hot that it basically was cooking itself. Also our pretzels were almost undercooked, especially at the knots. I ended up throwing away half of my pretzel. While I was there though it seems like the lady was overworked and the other employee didn't really know a lot and deferred to the other lady a lot. Honestly it sounds like they need two employees to work that can actually do all of the things in the shop or that the lady needs to allow the other employee to have more responsibilities like working the cash register and giving out samples. This is my first ever food review and I’m not doing this to complain but to point out a certain problem that can maybe be addressed. When I first went to the opening of Wetzel’s Pretzels down in palm bay the food was delicious. I had order a nice cinnamon pretzel an it was soft and chewy the way it ought to be from my experience with other Wetzel’s pretzels chains. But when I went there the second and third and following times I noticed something rather off. All the times I asked for cinnamon pretzels were returned either overcooked (hard on the outside soft on the inside) pretzels or with the cinnamon bought from a second hand market such as Walmart which is the place that you guys are located in. And a lot of the times the cinnamon doesn’t even stick because I don’t think the employees are applying enough butter or oil spray to get them too. I think the issue at hand here might be to address this to your current managers in order for them to troubleshoot the issue because I think there is some confusion in how to make that item. Because it seems like whenever I order cinnamon pretzels after the first time I came there it’s either overcooked or hastily applied with cinnamon that is sometimes not even from the establishment itself. As a loyal Walmart customer, discovering Wetzel's Pretzels has been a game-changer for me. Since its opening, I've become a regular at Wetzel's. The staff are incredibly friendly, always greeting me with a smile whenever I walk in. The irresistible smell is what draws me in every time, and I've never been disappointed.
