I held off on writing a review of Carmine's La Trattoria Restaurant because of inconsistent experiences. We have been going to Carmine's, on and off, for about 4 years now. Sometimes, we are thrilled and look forward to coming back only to be disappointed. Most of the time, the food is excellent. We consistently enjoy the Dentice Francese (yellowtail snapper in the white wine lemon butter sauce) and the Ravioli Aragost (lobster ravioli). Our go-to entrees at Carmine's. The calamari is only okay. Not nearly as tender as other restaurants. The tomato sauce it is served with is just meh. We have stopped ordering this as an appetizer. We do enjoy the zucchini blossoms. I have read other reviews that speculate that these may be previously frozen. That may be true, but we still enjoy them. The service is inconsistent. Our last visit was perfect. Hosts seated us promptly at a great table. Our waiter was attentive. This has not always been the case, especially "in season" when things get a bit crazy. The tables are very close together to maximize seating. We have often been bumped by neighbors sitting at the next table. Not their fault. It's just really crowded. We have also had our party of five shoehorned into a table for four, even with reservations made months in advance. The outdoor seating is lovely, especially when the weather is nice. Parking can be a nightmare with the overcrowded lot. There is complimentary valet parking. Bottom line - We like this place just well enough to keep coming back. Seems to be much better off-season when it's just us locals.

It appears as though it's a fancy restaurant. Believe me when i say it's a complete distraction. The appetizers are previously frozen and then deep-fried from Restaurant Depot. We ordered the calamari and stuffed zucchini flowers. The ZUCCHINI flowers were cooked too long and all the filling ran out on the plate and weren't stuffed at all, not to mention the flowers were like rubber and you could barely get a knife through them. The CALAMARI isn't fresh made, I don't think anything else is. They were previously frozen and overcooked. The vegetables they added to the dish were soggy. These were both complete disasters and should be avoided. The Carmine "Italian Sub" Sandwich. I had high expectations and looked forward to a good Italian sandwich from an authentic Italian market, "as advertised." The tomato and the choice of bread were excellent. The provisions were subpar, nothing more than prepackaged meat from BJs or Sam's Club. The Turkey Club with Avocado had no flavor at all, like a grammar school lunch option. They tell you the TIRAMISU is fresh made in-house. That's a BIG FAT LIE. It's nothing more than a Restaurant Depot previously frozen tiramisu with a little white glaze that they add on top prior to serving. The ESPRESSO beans are ground so fine. It's one of the most bitter tasting singles I've ever had. I don't ever use sugar, but you'll need two sugars to choke this one down. The dipping sauce for the bread was excellent. I will say the SERVICE is VERY GOOD, and the STAFF is PLEASANT and FRIENDLY.

My husband and I have been coming to the marketplace for many years but never actually tried the restaurant, which is attached to their marketplace. The atmosphere is lovely! Beautiful decor, with a nice outdoor patio area that overlooks the water. Great bar area as well! The place is very clean and our waiter was amazing. Very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. He offered suggestions, was attentive, and made our experience a great one. The menu has an extensive collection of classic and tradional items as well as a few non traditional items. We wanted to try a few items and decided to share a few plate. The pasta was so fresh and obviously made recently. The sauces were full of flavors. We started with mozzarella sticks, which were nice and crispy outside and full cheese inside. We also had the rigatoni ala vodka and the chicken parm, which they kindly split onto two plates for us as we were sharing. Both were delicious! The entire staff is friendly, helpful and all smiles as they walk past the table. We also took home a sandwich and a pizza for later, and hours later, the food still tasted wonderful. One of the few restaurants left that can offer good food, a good atmosphere with amazing service! If you haven't already, give them a chance, you won't be disappointed!

I visited Carmine's at the recommendation of a friend. The restaurant is tucked nicely in a cozy shopping district with views of the marina in Palm Beach Gardens. The decor is dated butt quaint. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I opted for the three-course meal, starting with the dirty oysters, following with the Osso Buco with risotto, and finishing with the tiramisu. Dirty Oysters: Disappointing. The presentation is messy, The sour cream overpowers the oyster and caviar. I'm not sure if this much sour cream routinely comes on the oysters. My recommendation would be to order with light sour cream. Osso Bucco: Marginal. The veal shank was cooked perfectly. Unfortunately, despite the fresh rosemary garnishing the dish, the meal was quite bland, Risotto Milanese: Marginal. Risotto is a dish that takes time and nurturing. For a great risotto, you need to stir and frequently add just enough stock to get the right consistency. If you dump a ton of stock in the risotto and walk away, this is what you get. Wet and mushy. The flavor profile was light. Could have used more salt, or even better, more cheese. Tiramisu: excellent! From presentation to texture to taste everything was perfect, I will be back to try other menu items.

I absolutely adore the outdoor space at Carmine's Trattoria! The live music, waterfront views of the marina, and excellent wine selection create a fantastic atmosphere. We tried the pasta cacio e pepe, which was prepared right at our table on a cheese wheel—an amazing experience! The ambiance was beautiful, and I can't wait to return the next time I'm in the area. Highly recommend!
