Kava Daddy — Restaurant in Palm Beach Gardens

I feel bad because I wrote a negative review on this place for things that were my fault, not theirs. This truly is a great place and I still order from them because they have really quality tea. The environment is wonderful. I guess that’s why I miss coming here so much. Paul is actually a really good guy. Even though there was some things I didn’t do that I was accused of, I broke the rule of showing up there Intoxicated acting like a fool, saying stupid stuff that made no sense. I had no control over one aspect of my life and I used to come here in that mindset. I’ve been doing well for a long time and a part of that is thanking the places that helped me get here and this is one of them. You truly get that bar experience without the alcohol. The social atmosphere is great, I feel like a lot of people go to bars just for the social aspect of it and become alcoholics. This place is completely different because you get all of that without the fighting that goes on in bars and all the people acting like Idiots. I am only human I make mistakes, but at least I can leave a positive review to try to make things right. I’m not looking to get anything out of this review. After being in the kava community for about 5 years, seeing the same type of vibe and style everywhere can start getting old. Kava Daddy is truly a breath of fresh air! While it looks really inviting in photos, they honestly don’t do justice to the overall ambience and class that Kava Daddy exudes. Two of the owners we met at our first visit Paul & Paul (father & son) were both so kindhearted and welcoming. They’re the kind of people you just gravitate to, and Kava Daddy is already successfully redefining what it means to be a kava bar even as a newer addition to the community. The prices are very fair and competitive with other bars in the area, but the entire establishment feels very high end and again, CLASSY. Their house made hibiscus kava is absolutely delightful and like nothing I have ever had before, it is a must try! The teas are some of the best tasting I’ve ever had with great effects and the traditional kava is very smooth and easy to drink. The bar and lounge are very clean and beautifully decorated with swanky jazz music playing…absolutely worth the drive for a date night or business meeting. Really disappointed with my last, and I do mean last experience here. I was dozing off on a couch (I know no kava bar is a fan of this), but when I was approached to wake up, the worker loudly and obnoxiously raised his voice to ensure I woke up right away. There was no attempt to do it quietly before getting progressively louder. He just went straight to unreasonably loud. I was not even sleeping. I don’t think it would have been possible to. The two workers and their friend were so loud with their laughing and random screams. The two workers were playing video games and pool, while on shift, but I was held to a different standard than they were.
