I would strongly discourage anyone from using this business for any watch services. I needed a watch battery replaced. It took only 20 minutes. It was very convenient and the owner, Marcelo, was very nice. When I came back to pay, he said that I can pay a one time price for the battery or $189 for batteries as long as I owned the watch. Sounded great so I said sure! I left the store and by the time I got home I realized my watch was still not keeping time. I assumed since I had replaced the battery that there must be another problem. The next morning I called the jeweler from whom I bought the watch -Peter Fabrikant and Craig Miller- VERY reputable I might add- business is on Palm Beach Island. I left the watch with him and he said he’d have Tourneau take a look before sending it out to Cartier for repair if needed. Tourneau gave a report- tested the battery said 1) it was a bad battery- voltage was low and either defective or 2) battery was never changed due to not being signed which is something watchmakers do. Tourneau replaced the battery and the watch held time for 12 hours and I picked it up. I returned to Fast Fix not wanting my money back for the battery- mainly due to the fact Tourneau had discarded the one Fast Fix allegedly installed- but the money for the “lifetime battery replacement deal” I had both receipts from my jeweler as well as Tourneau’s report ready to show Marcelo. He was rude, condescending, and lost total control/ talking over me and repeating that I should have come to him first before going anywhere else. I tried explaining to him I didn’t think it was the battery since he’d replaced it and assumed it needed servicing. He didn’t hear me because he was yelling and talking over me. It became so heated my husband said we needed to leave and to take it up with the bank. I was TRYING to negotiate with Marcelo that I understood he should be paid for his time and the battery and that I only wanted the amount reimbursed for the lifetime thing minus the regular cost. He was unreasonable, yelling, and extremely intimidating. I would NEVER suggest a female go into this business alone!! My bank has reversed the charges, which could have been avoided with a simple adult conversation at an audible level. He went from 0-60 in a quick second and lost a customer. Read moreI took my watch here to have the crystal replaced. Mike was the watch tech working with me. After the initial repair the watches new crystal had a chip in it near the top. The crystal was also a little off. Within 24 hours I took the watch back to the shop to have the watch fixed. At first he told me he would charge me for this, but then realized he had no basis to stand in that since the initial repair came out poorly. Well after some patience and small conversation Mike told me he will order a new crystal and fix the watch right this time. Well after I got my watch back the second time, the bands are on backwards as you can see by the pictures. On top of that the crystal is messed up even more so then when I originally took it into for replacement. I don’t know what happened here but looks like he sliced the face or inside mechanism or mounting bracket with an exacto blade or something similar. And now my Movado watch is completely ruined. Lesson learned never take your a watch that you care about it to shady mall practices, don’t cut corners and get it fixed from the manufacturer. Or else it’ll turn into a dumpster fire of a story. This shows lazy craftsmanship, a poor concern for your customers possessions, and just a way to make a quick buck. Read moreAbsolutely terrible experience dealing with this place. I brought my watch in for a simple battery replacement, and when I got home and tried to set the time, I noticed the small hand wasn’t working properly. This is something any competent and honorable technician should have caught before handing it back to a customer.
When I returned to the store a couple of days later to explain the issue and return the battery, the person I dealt with was dismissive, unhelpful, and arrogant. He claimed they set the time when they replaced the battery, but that’s impossible to do, especially without noticing there’s a mechanical issue. He refused to issue a refund for the battery, even though the battery is brand new in perfect condition and could easily be used for another customer.
To make matters worse, the owner has completely ignored my follow-up correspondence. For a store that overcharges for something as basic as a battery swap (they charged $25!!), I expected far better service and accountability.
Bottom line: the customer service is awful, the pricing is way overpriced, and the management clearly doesn’t care. I will never go back there again. Avoid this place...
