I do not understand some of the negative reviews of this place. I go here weekly in the mornings and all the pastries and bread come out delicious. Never had a bad experience here, and the family who work their butt off making all the food are wonderful people.
For the regular Americans, THIS IS A PORTUGUESE BAKERY! The stuff they will have here will be different than in a normal regular American Bakery and Supermarkets. Whatever they have for sale is what they got, and once an item is sold out, then that item is sold out for the day (so get here early if you want to buy a lot of stuff). Their Portuguese Bread and Rolls are the bomb, but no preservatives so you better eat them the same day (that's how bread is supposed to be). I normally get one item + a pastel de nata + American Coffee and I am set.
If you want to pinch your pennies on your bread, go to a supermarket. If you want something that is hard to find here in FL (and out of all places here in Palm Coast), come here.
Bring cash, they don't accept card payments if the total cost is less than $10. Not their fault, card payment fees are crazy against a...
Read moreWe give this place five stars as it has been a wonderful place to eat over the many years. Unfortunately, we can no longer afford to return. Inflation is hurting all of us including small businesses like Delicias. We understand that this bakery has no choice but to raise its prices to pay the increase cost of running their business. It is sad that we have been priced out of experiencing the charm and wonderfully tasty pastries that this place delivers to its delightful customers. Example, we cannot afford to pay $4 for ONE croissant. The big corporate grocery store nearby can absorb the inflation and offer one fresh baked croissant for $1.39. It is quite a savings for us as we have a very tight budget.
We wish Delicias the best and we hope there are enough people with deeper pockets to keep them afloat during these trying times. We hope one day to return when the prices are more affordable. We love you, but we have to...
Read moreI honestly dislike giving negative reviews to any business, but this time I need to make people aware so this will not happen to anyone else. This is the picture of a something that they call Bread or cake? I ordered this thing.. for Christmas and it was a major embarrassment. We thought it was chocolate on the outside, but NO! It is all BURNED! Just awful! No Christmas desert for my family and guests, very disappointing. Then when my husband called to talk to the owner day after Christmas ( by the way she’s the baker also) she hang up the phone on his face. We were shocked with the lack of costumer service and how Unpolite this woman was to us. Bottom line do not place any special orders at this place. Only buy what you see, if you go there, and you better like it and not complain !!! Or else…. $35. In the trash !!! For this most discussing burned thing that looks like an Alien and breaks your teeth if you...
