I like the smoothies and food offered by Tropical Smoothies. However the customer service at Route 100 Palm Coast site is horrible. Cashier's rarely if at all say thank you and act put out if you ask them a question about the menu. Today there was a stack of coupons laying on the counter which I saw several other customers take and use before placing their order. However when I was charged the higher non coupon price for my own order and inquired about it the manager told me these are "bounce back coupons and did not honor the lower price for me yet two other customers grabbed these coupons as they approach the counter and they were given the lower price, in direct conflict with what the Manger told me two seconds ago. Please justify the poor customer service I received. I used to come to this place regularly after my gym workout three to four times a week for the healthy kale shakes. That mean's I was spending $50-$60 per month. I stopped patronizing this location about 6 months ago due to the poor customer service. This was my first time back in hoping that the service has improved but sadly I was proved wrong. The manager at this location does not seem to place much importance on the satisfaction of her customers. Apparently charging me $2 extra for my order was more important than keeping me as a customer by honoring her coupon. If these are truly "bounce back' coupons they should be handed out After the customer receives their order and not laying on the counter, honored for some customers and not for others. BY THE Way, judging by some of the responses to the other negative comments posted, instead of using the Comments constructively to address problem the manager seems to take offense and respond rudely which is further disappointing. Update: I'm happy to report that I have stood my ground and not given this rude business owner my return business. Despite likely the healthy food, she will not be receiving any more of my money. I will continue to...
Read moreMy wife was hired at palm coast 100 and quit after 2 weeks of working there. She was promised 30-35 a week. She worked 7 shifts and got 22 total hours during those 2 weeks. She would be scheduled 5 hours shifts and they forced her to take a half hour break because they said it is mandatory. She is 22 years old not 16. Who wants to goto work for a 5 hour shift and lose a half hour for a break? She had a 7 hour shift one day. After working 2 hours she was forced to take a half hour break because it was not busy and when she returned back from break there was no business so they told her to go home. So she was scheduled for 7 hours and worked only 2 hours and took a break. My wife was told she was not aloud to wear her wedding ring at work because it is unsanitary and it’s the law. But if you go to the other tropical smoothie in palm coast you will see employees wearing rings on every finger, dangling earrings, nose piercing’s, lip piercings, hair dyed all different colors and the best part they don’t even wear gloves. In the Sunshine State, there is no requirement for an employer to provide a meal period or rest break to its employees aged 18 or older. Instead, employers must adhere to the requirements of the federal Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), which also does not mandate a meal or rest break. If this tropical smoothie doesn’t let their employees to wear their wedding rings because it is unsanitary but the other tropical smoothies allow their employees to wear wedding rings then cooperate should get involved and resolve this matter. If this place is so concerned about sanitary employees should be wearing hair nets, mask to cover their nose and mouth, changing gloves everytime you touch a food item to avoid cross contamination and so on. Being forced to remove your wedding ring is disrespectful and being forced to take a half hour break working a 4 hour shift and you are 22...
Read moreWaited in line for over 25 minutes let alone took an additional 25 minutes to just receive ONLY TWO smoothies ' while waiting for almost an hour in total I wrote a bad review concerning my HORRIBLE visit so I complained to the manager on duty after leaving and tasting my smoothies ( which was not satisfying) and she put me on hold for over ten minutes, when I called back the store owner answered and she was rude as well about the situation when I told her I didn't live in the area she insisted for me to still bring back smoothies when I had the time ( why would I store a bad smoothie for days at a time to just receive a refund or new smoothies ?) so she then went on to tell me don't worry about bringing them back she will remake them with next visit. I then receive a voicemail from the store manager in a very nasty way saying " IF I DONT TAKE DOWN MY ONE STAR BAD REVIEW THAT I WILL NOT RECIEVE MY REFUND " this place is absolutely horrible ! No I will not EVER return with my service nor will I EVER refer their business. The owners are unprofessional and I personally witnessed Being In there while the line was by the door and then sitting in the lobby on their tablets doing whatever while their line is almost out the door they gave no help to their team. So I told the manager you could keep your money because you lost a consistent loyal customer! Thanks for the WORST tropical smoothie...
