Read moreWe placed an online order for some storage containers. When we got home we saw they gave us the WRONG size containers and no lids that came with it. We already had to go to another store that had them in stock, so it was 30 minutes each way on the highway. They told us we had to come back to the store to get the correct items because our store didn’t have them. We were passing through the next day, so my husband just did a return and we’d get them when back in stock at our local store. Well, when the credit came to my card, we saw they refunded ONE bin when we’d bought 3! We were told we have to come back to the store again to be refunded correctly! So THREE EXTRA TRIPS out of our way to correct THEIR MISTAKE that shouldn’t have even happened because they’re supposed to scan the barcode and a teeny tiny bit of attention to detail (like verifying the size on the sticker with the online order) would’ve helped us have a good experience, and not waste hours of our time, and gas money, to correct their lack of attention to detail, which is actually part of their job!! Please retrain employees properly and do better with the jobs you’re employed to do! Don't make customers do your job…remember they’re spending their hard earned money on products that allow employees to have the job. Gratitude for work goes a long way! Here’s the thing, too, for those who feel underpaid and therefore justify not paying attention to detail at work…when you’re hired, you agreed to do the job for that amount of pay, and are responsible for doing that job to the best of your ability, in order to honor your agreement for employment. It’s called integrity, and that’s not decided by our pay, or any other factors, it’s solely based on our own character. Managers have a duty to train employees properly and to hold them accountable, and retrain if they’re not doing something properly. Problem solved! Oh, and own the mistake when a customer calls…don’t wait til the end, or they mention it to you! Customer service 101 when it’s CLEARLY the mistake of...
Read more{This is my husbands account} Around Christmas I was shopping for my children's Christmas gifts. While stopped on an end cap looking at dog jackets I was run into by an employee with a cart. Instead of stopping the employee continued to turn into my and down an isle. She was pushing a black stocking cart and while she was turning she took my purse strap with her. Hence why I felt like I was being taken with her. She didn't seem to care she ran into me and after the corner continued on her way. Yet half way down the isle she did mumble that she was sorry for getting me. The exact words are hazy now yet I know she did not turn back, stop or sound sincere.
Upon getting into my car I took a harder look around my $1200-$1400 Louis Vuitton handbag. It had been damaged inside the store. I was embarrassed and devastated. I decided to think about it on the way home and decided upon arriving home I would call the customer service number.
Upon doing so I was directed to a insurance company to handle everything. I provided photos, distribution and the location of the incident. Yet a month later they have told me the cameras don't work there in the center isle and they believed this incident NEVER happened. I was struck with disbelief.
They told me that they couldn't find a single person that matched my description which I found unbelievable. Yet upon questioning the women more she told me they did find an employee yet the employee denied anything ever happening.
I find this extremely unprofessional and unacceptable. How are they relying on a part time employee to tell them the truth over a very expensive item being damaged? I find that its a system set up to help them get out of responsibility.
I simply wanted the employee to be talked to appropriately about not damaging items. My husband was a manager of a large retail store (years ago) for many years. This is not something an honestly company does. I am ashamed I ever spent so much money in a store that has no...
