Habit Burger & Grill — Restaurant in Palm Desert

Absolutely worst experience I’ve had with Habit. I’m never one to post such a negative review, but this was by far the most horrible experience I’ve ever had. My family is lactose intolerant, order a few combos without mayo and cheese and they all came with it. Ordered 2 grilled chicken sandwiches, repeatedly said 4 times to put the BBQ sauce on the side as my dad cannot have it for medical reasons and to no surprise now, it has BBQ sauce on it. No straws or napkins in the bag either. Got home to a very disappointed family and I wasted my money on food that was just thrown away because of our dietary restrictions. I’m not sure how much time goes into training, but PLEASE properly train your employees on how to take orders so they aren’t set up for absolutely failure. $80 down the freaking drain (along with all the wrong ordered food).

I tried calling the place, but it is only an on call service sadly. Would have rather said all of this to the manager instead of writing a public review like this, but oh well. If you got this far, I urge you to go to either In-N-Out, Chick-Fil-A, or the Habit on 111 instead of this one. I’ve never felt more disappointed in such service in my life & never thought my money would go to waste...

Ok. I'm going to say that their Charburger Combo was awesome.

I was able to finish it in 4 bites.

If you're in a burger rush and need to spend 13 bucks for a burger smaller than your hand and a tray of plain fries, you have come to the right place.

I've been dieting, and this was almost guilt free.

Tiny burger, cooked to perfection with a bougie price that rivaled fine dining, ketchup with a folding paper cup you have to pump at the refreshment station, and a cashiers counter with a tip jar.

They literally take your order, hand you a vibrating disc that people can do God knows what with, and let you choose one of their fine seats in a super clean dining area.

I took advantage of my wait for the food and had plenty of time to drop a deuce in a super clean bathroom. 5 stars for the bathroom, for sure.

I had 2 free refills with my venti iced lemonade, some peppers and sliced jalapeños waited for me next to some a1 and other condiments.

In all, it was a dining experience I'll definitely be back for.

Where else can you overpay for a burger and fries, tip a cashier, drop the kids off, and make use of a vibrating disc (not sorry).

The food here is consistent to other locations which is a good thing. Because the food is good I gave the food score a full five stars. My go to order is the double char with cheese, fries and a drink. The service isn’t bad but it isn’t good either. I’ve been to this location several times and the staff is just “sort of there”. No one is rude or anything like that, but no one is very welcoming or friendly either. Maybe I just had bad luck the times that I was here. The food also seemed to take much longer than it needed to be. On my most recent visit it took nearly 25 minutes to get my food. Again, the food is really good so I just tolerate it. The atmosphere got three stars too because the times I’ve been here the dining area needed a little attention. Someone to sweep the floors and clean off tables and seats would have made a big difference. The place wasn’t filthy but not as clean as a dinning room should be.
