Angie's West Indian Roti Shop — Restaurant in Palm Springs

If I could give this place no stars I would.... where to begin the lady on the phone said she wouldn’t make my order for 3 roti's until I came in sat and waited for them, mind I’m 8 months pregnant and had my 82 year old grandmother with me this day. Upon walking in instead of going to make my order she continued to restock her beer fridge as I stood there. I waited for 10 mins or so then proceeded to pay $ 11.24 for 3 of the smallest roti’s which she apparently considered buss up shut totally was not and she didn’t even give me my 76 cents change. Then I’m so sure she gave me stale roti’s. By the time I got home and my family was ready to have dinner roti’s were hard. The place is a dump inside and its like ghost town, the lady needs to work on her attitude, extremely overpriced possibly because she scares people off with her rudeness, I live and Boynton Beach and decided to drive to try them out....well lady you will not be getting another penny from me and I will never recommend your dump restaurant. Well, when I entered this establishment with my wife, the owner/cook was sitting with her legs propped up and did not greet us when we walked in. When we asked about the Roti, she stated that you have to call in advance for that type of dish. She had no menu printed, but had a dry and erase board with some items on there, however none of the items were actually available for order. Not sure what else she sells at this place but if you're looking for food I would not waste your time. This place is absolutely disgusting and unsanitary. As soon as we walked in, there was a parrot in a cage that looked like she hasn't given it a bath in years nor cleaned the cage in years with poop everywhere on the floor even on the door. The place also looks like it hasn't been cleaned in a while, so nasty. This place needs to be inspected because it's in clear violation of numerous health codes. Who knows how sanitary the food is if this is how the place is. Don't compromise your health....
