Shakey's Pizza Parlor — Restaurant in Palm Springs

After a very long wait in line to order (with two parties ahead of me in line... one 6 top and one 3 top), I ordered the PCM for one. I was advised a 45 minute wait but wanting to try the food, I proceeded. My chicken and mojo's came first in about 30 minutes. The mojos were hard and on the cold side with little actual flavor and the chicken was greasy with a flavor of old stale fryer oil. My personal pizza came about 5 minutes later and was also disappointing. The sauce is very sweet, tasting a little off, like gas station pizza, perhaps? The crust was rubbery as well. Salad bar looked very limited with few choices and lots of empty spaces for other potential offerings. This was a Sunday evening and they were busy but the quality of the food left me feeling as though I wouldn't return even if they weren't busy. That being said, the arcade looked to be a decent distraction for families with little ones waiting for dinner and many were enjoying large pitchers of beer. Maybe with enough desperate hunger and some alcohol, my food may have tasted better? It was an experience (my stomach hurt for a couple hours after) to have tried their food but I am prone to skipping future...

The food is always great here. I was bothered at the fact that after I had enjoyed my food , but noticing that my phone was no where in sight so I panicking looking for it and asking my friend that was across from me on the same table did you see my phone. So he said maybe it's in the car I said no I had just used it here as we were sitting at. The employee that was picking up the trash had must of picked up my phone along with the trash and thru it away. So he says I hear a phone ringing so I go over to where the trash it at and I find my phone. The guy is talking to my friend in spanish asking for a reward money for finding my phone in which he was the one that they it away. Immediately I contacted management back at the store after leaving and explained what had happened he was pologetic but to me that was very disturbing at the fact that why didn't he just come out clean and say you know what I am sorry . Very disappointed. I hope everyone that goes make sure to watch over your belongings because I feel that this was not the first time this has happened and employee...

This place did not disappoint! I drove all the way from Northern AZ just to revisit the pizza from my childhood because all locations in AZ had closed down. James, the assistant manager, was outstanding! He talked to us about his entire time running the restaurant, while personally assuring the place was clean and organized! My son enjoyed the small arcade, and they boosted his spirit by giving him a better prize than the tickets he had. The food was great! Brought back my childhood on every level! We wanted to bring back some pizzas with us, and James went above and beyond to wrap up our boxes in aluminum foil to ensure things kept hot for the trip back to our Air B&B! He even gave us a discount, even though we had refused at first. We don't get to go on vacation much, so for us, this was such an incredible experience that I had to make sure they got the credit they deserved! I know whenever I find myself back here, I will go out of my way to go back! Thanks for everything,...
