V Wine Lounge While the outdoor patio features views of the desert mountains, we opted to dine inside for this occasion. The interior is Mid-Century Modern decor, iconic in Palm Springs. We booked reservations for 5:30pm because Monday is Jazz/Latin/Bossa/Mod Night featuring “Lenna & Miguel on congas” from 5-to-8 pm - to celebrate my boyfriend’s 60th birthday with friends, and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience! The staff hid a surprise cake for us (on the menu is homemade signature Carrot Cake - and this week’s special cake was Pistachio Cake). Lenna was in on the surprise too - announcing (singing) his big SIX-O! Lenna & Miguel had the whole place singing & dancing and everyone was friendly, fun, and living the evening to its fullest, that the whole place felt like our own personal party; Meanwhile the staff bustling & mingling provided hospitality with great service! James (the proprietor) saw to it that we were happy & satisfied. We ordered the Bacon wrapped Dates (dates are a Palm Springs local crop) and be forwarded that these savory-sweet morcels are addictive! And likewise the Italian Meatballs. The restaurant menu is diverse, affordable, and satisfying - as were the broad selection of wines, cocktails, martinis, and draft beers. Note that the menu offers "wine flights" enabling guests to try 3 different wines from the menu. And we will definitely be returning for "Taco Tuesday" - and BONUS - they also have live music on Tuesdays. Fairly priced well drinks. We're going to make this a regular spot.

Never coming back. EPIC FAIL. The food was delicious, and when the server did come by, he was very nice. But the problem was I was completely ignored the entire evening, even the reservation I tried to make with Google, they couldn't be bothered to pick up the phone. I stood at the door waiting to be seated for about 15 minutes, not a single person seemed to be minding the post. I waited 25 minutes before someone came by to take the order. The food did come reasonably quickly, but then I waited and tried to wave down someone over and over, and it was like I was invisible or something. Even though the food was delicious, they then couldn't be bothered to bring me a take home container for the kind of expensive food I paid my hard earned money for. I really needed to get going so I could make money driving Uber, but I wasted so much time just waiting and waiting and waiting. UGH!

We stopped in here for a few drinks and a snack with friends, and we really enjoyed our experience! The restaurant is unique with eclectic interior decor, (including the infamous mannequin sitting in the lounge area), but we enjoyed sitting outdoors on the patio with a beautiful view of the mountains. The menu has plenty of choices, but we had the vegan tacos, which were delicious! Also, we will definitely be returning here on a Tuesday evening for “Taco Tuesday”, when they also have live music. I liked their extensive wine list. Our excellent waiter, who was very friendly and thoughtful, was a great help choosing the right wine for the occasion. This restaurant is famous for their “wine flights” that allow you to try 3 different wines from their menu. Definitely try this when you visit. We will definitely return here again and will recommend it to our friends!
