We really enjoyed the vibe at this place. The people (Staff & guest) were friendly, there were no clicks or groups that made you feel left out. In fact it was the opposite. We felt right at home once we got there. We arrived after hours, but just before showing up, the resort sent us the codes needed to get into the resort and our room. Everything worked perfectly.
The rooms itself was nice bit I didn’t give the room 5 stars because of a few misses. There was an ice bucket, but no cups or glasses we could use. I don’t know if they don’t include them, or if they did but it was oversight to not have them. We never got any the whole time, but by then we had gotten some drinking cups we could use the rest of our stay. 2 no dresser to put our clothes in, and the closet was taken up by the mini fridge and microwave, leaving just a little room for our hanging things. There was an iron in our room, but no ironing board. Like the cups, I don’t know if another guest took it and it wasn’t replaced or if the room never had. We never needed the iron, but I thought it was interesting the board wasn’t there. No coffee pot/coffee amenities in the room. We stopped at a store and bought some coffee, creamer, etc., since we didn’t know what to expect, so when we arrived and there wasn’t a coffeemaker, we were disappointed. It turns out, in the morning, there’s a little cafe in the resort that has all the coffee items and they did a good job of keeping the coffee going during the morning. But for those that don’t want to leave their room until you’ve had your coffee it’s a big deal. We were ok with it, but would prefer the coffee. Maker in the room. If we had known ahead of time, we probably would have brought a cheap coffee maker with us, or at least our expectations would have been set.
Room safe was too small to hold a laptop and ours was locked in the open position. The instructions for resetting the passcode and unlocking it didn’t work. I didn’t complain while there, we just took a chance with our valuables during our stay.
Personally, I would make the following adjustments to save money, yet manage customers expectations. 1 Put a sign or little placard in the room that says something to the effect of, if you need an iron or ironing board, we’re glad to provide them at no charge to you. Then keep them in the office. Add 2 coffee cups and 2 plastic drinking cups to the room and a coffee maker and coffee amenity’s. You can also add to your sign that we can request a coffee set up if the cafe setup doesn’t work. In our case, once we discovered the coffee machine in the morning, we were ok with walking across the courtyard to get it. The resort could also make some branded cups (like Yeti’s) available for a modest purchase in the office. As long as they weren’t gouging people, I know I would have bought a couple for our stay if they weren’t too over priced. Put up to date larger safes in the room. Add a dresser or even some open shelves in the room to hold any clothes, along with putting the closet back to a closet and moving the microwave and fridge somewhere else. The rooms are big enough to do that.
Those room complaints are “quibbles” and won’t deter us from staying there again., but considering it was our first time there and we got there after hours, we felt like they were misses. A clear placard on the table with 5 or 6 bullet points outlining where everything is at and how to find it would have suffice for us. After all, it’s a nude resort so I doubt the irons and dressers would get a lot of use, but for extended stays they would be nice, since you have to get dressed to go out.
Overall, the resort was clean, well kept, it was comfortable without any single men creepers hanging around. And now that we’ve been there, we know what to expect our next experience will no doubt be better prepared and be a better experience. We definitely...
Read moreWe recently spent our first weekend at EDR with some friends. We had done an day pass in 2023 and vowed not to return due to the horrible condition of the pool at that time. However, recently they have done a lot of work to the property and the pool, I'm happy to report is now in much better shape. However the jacuzzi was not so desirable with a green glow to the water. I feel having a pool keeper monitoring the pools and jaccuzi at least twice a day is a necessity for a nude resort with that many people in one pool on any given day.
We got a room in the 300's with a kitchen. Upon checking in, they put us in the wrong room. Once we got that figured out, we got our things in the correct room with a kitchen. However, the main air unit was set to 82 on a 110+ degree day. I walked into the bedroom and that air unit wasn't even plugged in. I quickly plugged it in and began cooling the room, but it took the better part of the day to do so. I asked for a couple portable fans for the room as the ceiling fan in the main room didn't work (no remote) and because it hadn't been pre-cooled for check-in, it was just miserable in our room.
Saturday morning I wanted to warm up a breakfast burrito in the microwave, however the microwave didn't work. Again, had to find a manager and ask for a working microwave. The cooktop didn't even function properly. When I had called and asked some questions before the weekend, I was told that they try to keep their kitchens stocked with pans, utensils etc. There were no pans to use on the cooktop, no utensils.
The shower left a lot to be desired. Although a new hand held shower fixture, the outside handle just spun and when trying to keep that steady in the holder, it would not project the water properly and the shower pan is much too shallow and you end up with water all over the floor.
We had issues with the digital lock on the room door the entire time. It would take 3-5 times entering the code every time to get it to work properly and unlock the door. The play rooms would run out of towels and sheets. The air in the red room was not consistent; it was either hot or way too cold. It didn't seem as if there were staff taking care of the playrooms on a consistent basis.
Over all we had a great time on property. Having been an event planner for the past 20 years, I pay attention to the little things like making sure a guests room is properly cooled upon check in. Making sure there is a working remote for the ceiling fan in the room, appliances work etc. For paying $300 a night, I would expect a little better attention to detail overall. Sometimes the little things can make ALL the difference for a simple...

We had such a great time that we booked a Friday/Saturday stay. We arrived around 12pm and was able to check-in. Our room was located at the quiet pool. It was clean and the AC was on which was very nice. Since we arrived on the early side, we claimed a spot at the pool for our beach towels and cooler. We did not get a cabana but found out they were $200. The EZ pool was, however was not in operation. The temperature of the main pool and quiet pool and hot tubs were perfect.
The couples we met throughout the weekend were all fun and cool. Smaller group than the last time we were there but we found that to be more intimate. Great tunes all weekend too. The owner, Don was also very friendly and the staff was also great. Also, the playrooms were air conditioned nicely. It was another hot weekend so we did not use the areas in the maze.
We did have a couple cons during our stay:
There were no towel bars in the room. We had to hang them either over the shower curtain bar or a chair to dry.
The music was blasting all night in the quiet area. Our AC unit in the room would mostly drown it out but when it kicked off the music was quite loud.
Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay and we will return for another weekend.
Go have fun, explore and play!
August 2025:
We were newbies and decided to do a day pass. When we arrived all the parking spots were full but were able to find street parking. The front desk host was helpful and answered any questions we had. Since we didn't have a room we went to the locker room. This area was not well maintained and looked more like a storage area. We arrived around 1pm and all the chase lounges (all shaded) were occupied but we were able to put our belongings on a table with an umbrella. There were also reserved areas for cabanas but that costs an extra fee. Not sure what it is.
There was about 40 people in the main pool and the DJ was playing fun party tunes. Pizza was provided but we didn't have any. We wondered around the grounds just to see the layout. After, we made our way in the pool. It was partially covered with a shade sail which was great since it was so hot. All the couples we met were friendly, great, and we really enjoyed the vibe and atmosphere. Because of the heat, we stayed in the pool the entire time we were there and did not go in the maze or playroom.
Overall we had a great experience. We plan on coming back and booking a room and staying...
