We are staying overnight in Miami for a friends flight in the morning. Our hotel front desk agent informed me of this restaurant down the road from our room. He told me about a dish named Vaca Frita which comes with two sides. I got the avocado and rice and beans. They bring a cuban bread to start with. The place is a short distance from the hotel so I gave it a try. Extremely satisfied with our service from Danay our server. She was very professional and courteous, she explained our questions about the menu. Very charming and patient with us and provided great service. We also ordered the half chicken with two sides that come with it, black beans and broccoli. Our other guest ordered the Masas De Puerco which comes with two sides as well, she got the Maduros (rice & black beans mix) and plantains. Our drinks were a margarita on ice with tanjin on the rim. I ordered the Lychee Martini which was so refreshing and delicious. Our meals were so large and totally delicious. We were able to bring some extras to have tomorrow. For dessert we had the flan and doce leeche which were light and scrumptious. Thanks for the superb service and marvelous meals. We have to return again when we our in town again.

I dream with their watermelon mojito omg is to die for!!! Love their the chorizo and bacalao croquetas and their cuban sandwich the sangria and the coffee but not so much the breakfast with chorizo for some reason the chorizo always comes cold when is served though i sent back the plate but still was cold but they offer me some other meat thanks guys very attentive and friendly!!! As today August 25 we were a party of 18 and they gave us a beeper to wait so we patiently waited we finally waited almost an hour and a half to be seated we went to find out the status of our tables but the old man told us that they couldn’t accommodate us after we waited that long is unacceptable the way they treated us there today they should’ve told us that when we got there and not making us wait that long we loved that place but we decided not to spend our money in there any longer finally we went to the el rinconcito and they accommodate us very quickly even though the were full they treat us very well our new favorite place SERGIO YOU DEFINITELY LOST OUR BUSINESS !!!!!!THEIR ATTITUDE SUCKS NOT FRIENDLY ANYMORE!

Had an absolutely phenomenal time coming to this Sergio’s. I haven’t been to a Sergio’s in years and while it’s still steeped in the traditional foods you’d find at a Sergio’s, I love all the new things that they’re bringing out. They have menu items for those looking for a lower calorie meal, but still want the Cuban goodness that Sergio provides and they have new menu items like a truffle mushroom cheese burger, fried grouper bites & loaded nachos with plátano chips. I would ABSOLUTELY come back here again and I would also tell all my family and friends to go check out Sergio’s if they haven’t been in a while. Servers were great when they were around, service was a little slow and they did forget a couple of items, but were fast to correct when we notified them. Now this was the restaurant; we’ve been going to the bakery non stop for years and they have plenty of amazing and delicious things to offer as well.

Update: Embarrassing and disappointing visit to this location. I appear to be a healthy person but suffer from medical issues,. My service dog alerts me before the seizures happen. The hostess did not allow me to be seated indoors because they do not seat emotional support animals. Despite having spoken to the manager and clarifying he was a service animal that assists me for medical reasons they declined to seat me inside. Why? Because I don’t “look sick”, because my dog was not wearing a “service animal vest”? The ADA does not require the animal to wear a vest, have the person justify their need for the service animal or allow for the establishment to require proof. Not wanting to create a scene and have to explain my health issues to people that clearly do not know how to properly enforce the ADA rules I sat outside to avoid further embarrassment in front of my guest. I Will not be returning.

Have visited this spot on many occasions. Always a hit. Yesterday 1/10/21 fell short. Most of our dishes came out cold. Not warm but cold in the center. 12 croquettas. Refrigerator cold in the center. Sent them back. My lechón and yucca were room temp. Sent is back. My moms garbanzos we’re room temp with a refrigerator cold center. In her case we sent it back and it was no better when they returned the plate. Back it went. Finally the third time the plate made it to the table it was edible. Aside from the temperature Issues the food was delicious and our server Adys was phenomenal. She was hardworking, pleasant and accommodating. It sure what happened that day but we watched other plates be returned as well. The manager appeared to be walking the floor and looking around but not once approached us to inquire about our 3 cold plates or apologize for the mishap. He def gets a fail. Thank you Adys you were the high point...

Worst experience ever!!! I have gone to many restaurants throughout all my years and have NEVER experienced such horrible and disgusting experience. I get there on a Saturday at lunch time to take my son for lunch and when food gets to my table there are no utensils so I start looking around for the waitress to ask for utensils ehich at this point food is at the table and we have nothing to eat with when that is supposed to be there before the food is there and my son has no straw for his cup that the only way to drink from it since its a kids cup is from a straw well I ask for the waitress for utensils she takes for ever and food getting super cold in the meantime when she gets to my table and I take out te utensils from the white cover they bring them in it was full of food I call her again and tell look this is dirty it hasn't been washed look at thr rice on the fork! She goes in to get me another pair long story short when she comes back to me and hands me the new pair of utensils they are dirty and again I call her and tell her look at the knife and fork it has food! So she goes back in for the 3rd time and she hands me the pair of utensils again they are dirty!!! At this point I got so upset 3 time and utensils dirty and food on my table COLD and my son telling me he’s hungry that why can he start eating. This is disgusting and a lack of respect and the waitress seemed to not even care horrible service and the food was terrible the back beans looked like black mashed potatoes no bean juice at all the rice looked old and the Palomilla didn't taste like anything and on top of that zero sanitation if forks are like that to the public I dont want ti see the kitchen!!! Would never...

I wanted to enjoy my time there, but sadly the service was sub par. It took a while to be seated--not because it was busy... Quite the contrary. We went before the dinner rush started, but the hostess was off chatting and didn't notice there were two parties waiting to be acknowledged. Finally they sit us next to the waiter's station, of all the available tables. It was noisier than anticipated, with the clanging of dishware, but mostly because the waiters would just gather to socialize with one abother and comment about what was on the TV. The waitress was nice, though somewhat distracted. However, she LEFT her shift without saying anything. We were not assigned a new waitress, and had to flag down people everytime. The rest of the staff was blind to us.

We intended to order Picadillo, a Cuban staple that's a popular dish, but there was none. We ordered a certain dessert we had had at another Sergios, but there was none. I asked if they had churros y chocolate, the interim waitress said yes, then came back aftwr several minutes, had confused my order. After another clarification, she finally brought them. I wish I had not ordered them: they had no taste and the hot chocolate was as greasy, flavorless and oily as the churros.

Because our waitress had left, there was no one to bring us our check. Getting it and having them process it took another long while...even though it was neither busy not were they understaffed. To sum up their service on one word: CARELESS. In both attitude and quality. Never eating at this...
