Update: Embarrassing and disappointing visit to this location. I appear to be a healthy person but suffer from medical issues,. My service dog alerts me before the seizures happen. The hostess did not allow me to be seated indoors because they do not seat emotional support animals. Despite having spoken to the manager and clarifying he was a service animal that assists me for medical reasons they declined to seat me inside. Why? Because I don’t “look sick”, because my dog was not wearing a “service animal vest”? The ADA does not require the animal to wear a vest, have the person justify their need for the service animal or allow for the establishment to require proof. Not wanting to create a scene and have to explain my health issues to people that clearly do not know how to properly enforce the ADA rules I sat outside to avoid further embarrassment in front of my guest. I Will not be returning.
Have visited this spot on many occasions. Always a hit. Yesterday 1/10/21 fell short. Most of our dishes came out cold. Not warm but cold in the center. 12 croquettas. Refrigerator cold in the center. Sent them back. My lechón and yucca were room temp. Sent is back. My moms garbanzos we’re room temp with a refrigerator cold center. In her case we sent it back and it was no better when they returned the plate. Back it went. Finally the third time the plate made it to the table it was edible. Aside from the temperature Issues the food was delicious and our server Adys was phenomenal. She was hardworking, pleasant and accommodating. It sure what happened that day but we watched other plates be returned as well. The manager appeared to be walking the floor and looking around but not once approached us to inquire about our 3 cold plates or apologize for the mishap. He def gets a fail. Thank you Adys you were the high point...

She goes in to get me another pair long story short when she comes back to me and hands me the new pair of utensils they are dirty and again I call her and tell her look at the knife and fork it has food! So she goes back in for the 3rd time and she hands me the pair of utensils again they are dirty!!! At this point I got so upset 3 time and utensils dirty and food on my table COLD and my son telling me he’s hungry that why can he start eating. Read moreI wanted to enjoy my time there, but sadly the service was sub par. It took a while to be seated--not because it was busy... Quite the contrary. We went before the dinner rush started, but the hostess was off chatting and didn't notice there were two parties waiting to be acknowledged. Finally they sit us next to the waiter's station, of all the available tables. It was noisier than anticipated, with the clanging of dishware, but mostly because the waiters would just gather to socialize with one abother and comment about what was on the TV. The waitress was nice, though somewhat distracted. However, she LEFT her shift without saying anything. We were not assigned a new waitress, and had to flag down people everytime. The rest of the staff was blind to us.
We intended to order Picadillo, a Cuban staple that's a popular dish, but there was none. We ordered a certain dessert we had had at another Sergios, but there was none. I asked if they had churros y chocolate, the interim waitress said yes, then came back aftwr several minutes, had confused my order. After another clarification, she finally brought them. I wish I had not ordered them: they had no taste and the hot chocolate was as greasy, flavorless and oily as the churros.
Because our waitress had left, there was no one to bring us our check. Getting it and having them process it took another long while...even though it was neither busy not were they understaffed. To sum up their service on one word: CARELESS. In both attitude and quality. Never eating at this...
