Sal y Pimienta Restaurant — Restaurant in Palmhurst

The exterior of the restaurant looks inviting but once you go inside the tables are all sticky, cooks and waitresses are taking turns picking music and the food smelt bad, we ordered shrimp enchiladas, chile relleno and ceviche. The ceviche and enchiladas smelt like a fishing box full of shrimp were left out in the sun for too long and it tasted the same. The chile relleno was also soggy as if it was microwaved, mind you it was dead only me and my partner with a family of 3 outside so they could've made the food fresh instead of perhaps using a microwave causing the food to be soggy, we waited for half an hour. For the food being so bad it was also very expensive here. I had a family member tell me the food wasn't great here but I decided to try it for myself and no take judgement from someone else considering we could have different pallets for food, she was right it has nothing to do with food preferences and all to do with food execution. This isn’t the first time I try sal y pimienta the first time I came I was so so impressed but then again it was their opening weekend and everyone has their ups and down I like to try no places and give my comments on them this weekend I decided to try sal and pimienta and all I can say was that I was impressed not only with the service but with the food selection and what they serve. Other restaurants serve the same breakfast plates but it’s not so much the content it’s the flavor that caught on to me. The service was quick and the waitstaff was very attentive since my arrival to my departure I did notice that they also have a bar area and the place is very cozy and appealing. I highly recommend it due to the fact that the food was excellent the service was top notch and the prices were acceptable too they were following all Covid 19 procedures and that speaks highly as many restaurants do not care and just let anyone in and don’t follow rules to me my priority is safety and a great experience and I received it here I highly...

The breakfast here was good but the experience wasn't, I ordered the Huevos Rancheros and for $6 you get 2 eggs, refried beans, potatoes and bacon.

The eggs were perfectly cooked over medium, the salsa for the eggs was tasty (but they gave us the salsa on the side which I don't like), the refried beans were good, the bacon was thick and had a good taste to it, the potatoes were bland but slightly crispy I think they were made fresh to order.

The reason why the experience wasn't good is because the server was more busy taking orders and bringing coffee to new customers than serving already prepared food that I saw sitting there getting cold for well over 4-7min (including my food), by the time I got mine it was just slightly warm.

Overall the breakfast here is good and at a fair price, but the servers need training as they don't know what the dishes come with and don't have their priorities in order. Against my better judgement I will give this place 3⭐ but it should be 2 due to the service, hopefully overtime...
