We were excited to go to First Watch for our first time . I think it was at there busiest time when we arrived at 10 minutes to 1pm, hostess took my phone number and said about ten minutes was our wait and she will text us, we took a walk down the strip mall..
About 1:06 PM we walked back into First Watch fortunately we did because others before us were seated... The hostess seen us and then told us I will seat you next, then she texts us immediately that our seat was ready....if we didnt pop back in we would be overlooked... So already not feeling that good about our first time at First Watch. So you might not get seated in order as you would think, also dont go for a walk as you might get overlooked.
At 1:10 we were seated, after a few minutes we were approached by our wonderful waitress Abigail ( I hope that's the right spelling, they do not wear nametags)
We received our waters and coke, our order was placed at 1:22pm.
Fiance ordered the Works omelet with potatoes and toast..
I ordered the Traditional Breakfest with eggs over easy, chicken sausage patties, toast and potatoes crispy..
I looked at watch at 1:32pm I looked at my watch again at 1:40pm Then I looked at all the other orders other tables were receiving and boy we were anxious to get our food, needless to say at 1:48pm my fiance received her order.🙂
I, on the other hand received no meal yet, Abigail said she would go and see about my meal🙂. Boy I was ready to eat!!
Abigail being apologetic brought my meal, it was 1:55pm, it was as ordered but chicken sausage was blackened and dry... I asked for a substitute of bacon instead Abigail happily obliged... Best Bacon I Ever Had absolutely Delicious!!
My fiance was already at the end of finishing her meal when I received my meal.😕. The manager Sara came out to apologize for my order delay and said this doesn't happen especially for a 2 top and we agreed, Sara asked us to come back and give them another chance to make it right.
We definitely will return we said and told Sara and Abigail we understand and hope we can get our meal at the same time to enjoy the experience at the same time at First Watch.
First Watch truly understands the importance of customer satisfaction as they proved without any negative attitude towards us rather understanding and empathy, what a great Manager, Sarah is definitely the right person for this postion!! Abigail is definitely the right person for the Front End Lead!!❤
Thank you Abigail and Sarah!! ❤❤ If it weren't for you 2 kind people I'm sure our experience would have left a bad taste in our mouth, (pun intended) 🤣lol. And not a 5 star rating!
Kudos to Abigail! Ask for Abigail to be your server! Abigail is 5Star!❤ We will return to try your...
Read moreNice menu with some unique offerings, friendly staff and very conveniently located. I've visited twice and both times I've not been very happy with my food. Everyone else's food at the table was good according to them. First time, I ordered the Eggs Shakshuka which was just too overwhelmed by the sauce. Shakshuka is a well seasoned tomato based sauce with onions, peppers and seasonings, it was just a little too much for these eggs - the ratio of egg to sauce was off so it overpowered the dish. The second time I ordered the Pumpkin Pancake plate. On this one, let me start by saying the chic and en sausage that accompanied the pancake was just lovely. As for the star of the dish, the pumpkin pancake, it was really disappointing. Despite the pretty Pumpkin color, No pumpkin flavor at all and the oil used on the flat top must've been rancid or the flat top not properly cleaned leaving oils from previous cooks on there as the taste in my mouth was very vividly that of rancid oil. My mom tried it too when she saw the look on my face and without blinking - or me giving my opinion - said, it tastes like rancid oil. We advised the server, told her that I'd eat it anyway as I was so hungry, slathered it with Maple Syrup which they charge you extra for, but don't tell you its extra till the bill comes; the server had asked me would I like regular syrup or real syrup (which I assumed meant Maple syrup), so I chuckled and said, "real syrup please and if you have maple, even better". That's an extra $1.99 for a small bottle. The coffees were comped on account of the disappointing pancake, but unfortunately the coffee was also weak and not up to par. I think I'm done trying First Watch unless I stop in for something safe like a bagel. This restaurant has so, so much potential to be awesome. It needs tightening up in the kitchen with regards to recipes and quality. I'd love to see some...
Read moreI would move in here if it was possible. We can't quite put a finger on why we are so comfortable here at First Watch. I mean, the seating is adequate, but that's not it. More likely it's because: The coffee is great, the food is wonderful, a bit different and very creative. The service is off-the-charts friendly!
The am superfood bowl makes me happy. 😊 The coconut milk chia pudding in it is a delightful alternative to the tapioca of my childhood. With fresh berries and banana on top and some homemade almond granola, I'm in heaven! That doesn't even account for the grainy artisan toast, nut butter and berry compote that comes with it. 👀 I take these home for a gourmet type PB&J later!
My 85 year old mom was completely impressed by the seasonal bacon cheddar cornbread and is waiting for that to come back! Meanwhile, the million dollar bacon and lemon curd ricotta pancakes are keeping her content. Sister just has to have the breakfast quinoa bowl regularly, and little brother and his lovely wife are regulars for both the full works breakfasts and the roast beef lunch sandwich (which is on cheese crusted bread that is "to DIE for!")
You can choose from totally mindful "healthy" or healthy AND totally indulgent 😁👍 options. Either way, smile at the friendly staff, enjoy the rich coffee, sit for a spell without rushing... and if you get Taylor as your server, tell her "HI!" ...
