Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Panama City Beach

Take your business elsewhere. We love Papa John's pizza but this location is poorly run, unreliable, and an utterly disgraceful franchise.

We ordered a pizza online from this location on a Monday evening for delivery. The wait time (confirmed both online and via email) was 75 minutes. We waited 75 minutes. Then 90 minutes Then 120 minutes. Finally, two hours and 13 minutes after I had placed the order (and 90 minutes after the tracking app said our pizza had been baked and was being "prepared" for delivery), I called the store. The "check status of delivery" flipped me to an unhelpful and uninformative voicemail that said they were busy. I called back and tried the "place order" option. They hung up on me when I asked about the status of my order. I called again and tried the "all other matters" option. I got the manager, who claimed that it would be at least another 45 minutes (three hours after I placed my order) before it would arrive.

The manager lied by saying our pizza had not even gone into the oven yet. When I confronted him with the fact that the tracking app clearly stated otherwise, he said "Well, we're keeping it under a heat lamp." I told him that the pizza under these circumstances ought to at least be free, and that I wasn't anxious to eat a dried out pizza at room temperature, he canceled my order and "banned" me from ordering from my phone number in the future.

SHORT ANSWER: Papa John's ought to jerk these clowns' franchise. Under no circumstances should you ever consider ordering from this location. Read the other reviews that have universally had the same unsatisfactory experience. Save yourself the time and aggravation. There are a dozen other, better, and far more reliable pizza...

I love Papa John's BBQ Chicken Pizza 🍕, it's the best I've tasted so far, I've tried many different places. Today I decided to head in-store to make my purchase rather than the usual doordash. When I went into the store the workers were occupied with kneeding the dough. I checked to see if they were wearing gloves but they we're not; i thought maybe that's fine if they washed their hands 🤔 one of the guys who I've met before at the register came to take my order. Hands, shirt and computer filled with flour. Something seemed to be bothering his nose when he used his hands to pick his nose 👃, wiped whatever off into his shirt 👕 and carried on. After taking my order he immediately went back to swinging the dough with his dirty hands and continued picking his nose. I was on the phone with a friend and started complaining about what I had witnessed, I stepped outside the store contemplating what I had just seen and soon after decided that I could not in good conscience allow them to bake me my favorite pizza, now loaded with bugger. I went inside and told the woman there that I would be needing a refund because of the unsafe health practices id witnessed, I let her know exactly what id seen... all she said was" ok". The guy who i placed my order with said, "what happened?" She told him I need a refund and he said ok and handled the computer again and told me that I would get it within 24-48 hours and I walked out. What puzzled me was how unbothered these workers were about my concerns 😟 😨. Can you imagine what is done behind the scenes?? Totally...

Wow!!! What a HUGE letdown!! A week ago, we placed an online order and had multiple issues (the pizza was an hour late, cold, and had wrong sauce). The manager called the next day as I left a review explaining the issues we had. He was kind enough to offer us a complimentary order to make up for everything. Tonight, we decided to give Papa Johns a second chance and place an order. Right off the bat, the employee that answered said no note was made to my account so they would get a manager. I sat on hold for 10 minutes. Finally, the person that took the order stated it was fine, he would take care of me. This order was exactly like the first that they had messed up (2 pizzas and pizza knots). The guy even called me BACK to confirm he had everything. An hour later, the delivery guy shows up, missing a pizza. He states he will handle it and bring another pizza back. I waited, allowing my pizza to get cold, to wait on the cheese pizza for my child so we could eat together. It didn't show up. I called to ask if it was still coming. The manager hung up on me. I am DONE! NEVER EVER EVER will order from Papa Johns, even if they tried to offer a complimentary meal. It isn't worth it. That loses a lot of business as we will surely let all of our local friends know and when our friends and family are visiting, we will let them know to go ANYWHERE but Papa Johns!
