Yesterday, May 27, 2024 I stopped in because I have celiac disease and have to eat gluten-free. I've been to a different Taziki's in Texas so I knew that this was a safe place to eat. They have a marked menu. I ordered the most expensive item on the individual meal menu - the $15.99 + tax chargrilled lamb "build your own feast" without the pita bread. After paying, I was told that they were going to sub gyro meat because they were out of chargrilled lamb. Gyro meat isn't even on the menu for a plate, but a gyro by itself is $11.99 and I paid $15.99. These are not comparable priced menu items. The amount of gyro meat was chintzy for what I paid and I felt cheated. They also didn't include any Greek peppers, cucumber or olives on the salad or tzatziki sauce with my meal. No refund or extra potatoes to make up for the big price discrepancy were offered. I used my water cup to get a single cup of unsweetened tea to-go because I paid for it in the more expensive meal that I paid for but didn't receive. This location needs more training on what to do if they're out of the most expensive items after the customer has already paid. Visited May 2024.

I would not be writing this review had I been treated with respect and kindness. Today 8/30/2021 @ 12:20pm I ate lunch at my favorite spot. I ordered a Salmon Feast. After taking a few bites I noticed a worm 🤮 in my food(see picture). I immediately drove back to the restaurant. Instead of the staff apologizing off back, the cook and manager stood there waiting for me to prove my point. Once proven, all I got was Sorry(one time) from the manager and the cook turned his back and walked away. Never saying a word to me. I was given my money back per my request. Here is why I am disappointed. I expected the Manager to at least taken my number, followed up with me, presented my with a free meal on my next visit, or at least a cookie. I mean something out of courtesy and kindness for such an awful experience. I will not be returning. You guys need to learn and dedicate yourselves to CUSTOMER SERVICE. Especially when there are worms in your customer food that you served. It’s no telling how many peoples ate out the same batch as me and didn’t even notice it

The Taziki's restaurant is a short drive from the beach and provides some amazing food at a reasonable price. The place serves a variety of Mediterranean food and everything we ordered was delicious. I ordered grilled tender beef dinner. It was served with roasted potatoes, vegetable salad and horseradish sauce. They also serve other dressings and sauces which you should try. The interiors have a nice ambiance, comfortable seating with different table sizes, and is extremely clean. The staff are friendly and helps with explaining the menu if you are new to the place.

If I could rate workers this would be a one star and 5 star review. After a long day of travel and family pictures we decided to try to find a restaurant without a 1+ hour wait because we were exhausted. Everyone usually likes tazikis back home so we thought this would be a great place to grab a late dinner. As we go to order our food we are informed they are all out of lamb. My husband is a little disappointed but we change our order and grab our drink cups. As we get to the drinks we are informed they are actually out of rice as well. We get our sides switched out and I go to get sweet tea (Georgia girl) and it’s empty. At this point I’m getting disappointed so I go to the register and ask if they have anymore tea. The young man that took our orders quickly said he would make some. As it’s brewing 2 other customers get tea from it. The young man comes back to put the sugar in and gets scolded by another co worker for making tea. He apologized and said he just made half. I tell him that 2 other people had already gotten tea and it really turned my experience around. I told him he did the right thing and he said, “well that’s the owner’s son.” The owner’s son needs some lessons on customer service. The other worker’s small act of kindness meant a lot. There was still an hour and a half until close. Tea and sugar do not cost a lot but losing repeat customers and...

My mother-in-law and I went to put in a to-go order tonight. The “closed” sign was up, and when I pushed the door open, I asked if they were open since the sign said “closed.” They said they were open, and that’s probably why they were slow today. When we went to put in the order, I was going to order the lamb gyros for my husband and I, and my MIL was ordering a salad with the pita and hummus. They were out of lamb. And the feta cheese is an up charge, which is ridiculous since it’s a staple in Greek dishes. So we settled for the beef gyros, and my husband wanted only lettuce, feta, and the Tatziki sauce, and the guy passive aggressively said I was complicating the order. It’s basically a regular gyro without tomatoes and onions. That’s it. Then the manager pushed him out of the way to finish taking our order, and this guy was incredibly RUDE. He barely made eye contact and was acting like we were wasting his time, and he scoffed at us when I asked if I get a side with my gyro. Needless to say, we didn’t leave a tip. I’ve never felt so uncomfortable in this type of situation. And the fact that it was the manager who was a jerk, made it even worse. The food was made right, but it did not taste fresh at all. The tomatoes were soggy, the salad had 2 olives, and was wilty. I’m hoping the Baklava will redeem some points for them. We will absolutely not be...

Such a decent meal. First I have to take time to properly appreciate the sauces.

-Tzatziki had a sharp fresh tang to it, not dull like the store bought. There was plenty of shredded cucumber and a wonderful fresh garlic note. Great job.

Caesar dressing was outstanding - I mean it. It was slightly coarse from the parmigiana, and after careful tasting I was able to distinguish pureed anchovy and mustard, which is unbelievable unless going to a fine dining place.

Clearly putting quality ingredients in.

My grilled vegetables were nicely done, not soggy but crisp and mellow. Onion tasted fresh, which is sometimes difficult for restaurants if they chop ingredients well in advance. Onion gets easily oxidized and can taste like garbage juice.

Appreciate the small crumble in feta and that it felt like chunked off a block. It sat on vegetables well and didn't roll off like the pre-crumbled stuff does. Olives looked like kalamata, thank you for that.

Now, the meat was chopped rather fine which was probably a good thing considering it was pretty tough. I also didn't really taste the lamb. Still, a fair dish.

I was looking forward to ordering some shawarma meat but didn't see it on the menu. If course to do it well that would mean installing the whole rotating spit for the meat.

All in all I'm very happy and...
