My family and I went to have breakfast on Thursday 9/26/24. After we sat at a table, we ended up having to wait on a waitress to get it cleaned up. There were still dishes, cups and silverware from the previous customer. Once we were situated, we placed our drink orders. 1 coffee, 2 waters, 1 kid size lemonade and 1 hot chocolate. When our drinks came out, we went ahead and ordered our food. As we all started to drink our drinks, I noticed there were not 1, or 2 but a few COCKROACH LEGS in my child’s hot chocolate milk!!!!! As I kept moving the straw in his cup, I kept finding more cockroach legs in it. It was extremely disgusting, and I believe that there was probably an entire roach in his cup 🤮 after all that, we decided we weren’t going to eat there (NOR WILL WE EVER EAT THERE AGAIN) and told our waitress that she can cancel the entire order. I showed her what was in the cup and all she could say was “oh”. The waitress didn’t even bother to apologize. I have already filed a complaint, and I DO NOT and WILL NOT recommend this place to anyone and will never be...
Read moreCharlie Coram's is pretty much an icon in this part of the Florida Panhandle. They have a standard type menu that is not extensive and has mostly patrons favorite dishes compiled from the years they've been in business. I had the Heavenly Hash which was what my friend ordered with quite a few extras like cheese, mushrooms, and some other items. The service was fast even with only 1 server and 1cook. My discontent was when ordering my friend ordered first and had the complete attention of our server but when I ordered it seems I didn't. I told the server I wanted mine the same as my friend's just not as much cheese. When we were served mine was not the same as how my friend's was. It was the menu basic. I didn't bother saying anything about it as we were on a time crunch. Also, it had way too much diced ham that hadnt touched the grill so was a little cold and clumped in pretty much one area. I have eaten at this Charlie's before many times and had very nice breakfasts but this time they were not on they're game and they weren't so busy that they can use that...
Read moreGood Amreican/Southern food at a very reasonable price. Even better, it is owned by a local family. Corams Place has been a local staple for many decades. Even coming here for school in the 1990s, I was warned ahead of time, "You have to go to Coram's and get the Heavenly Hash." People I knew from as far away as California and Washington state had told me this. They brought tell me to go to Coram's on Thomas Drive. As tme has gone by, the Thomas Drive store closed however, Corams has remained a local staple of the area. The folks told me to go were right. All of their other restaurants have been in old Waffle House buildings, decorated with a hodge podge of sarcastis signs, photos, plaques, worn seats and tables so well used the print on the formica was worn off where the plates are set in front of customers; this new restaurant on 15th St. is custom, modern, and decorated with meaningful paintings, photos, and artifacts from the local areas past. I highly recommend stopping in for a bite. You will not likely be let down, and it isn't going to hurt...
