Adding truly delicious food to a night out with friends is the best kind of night and Arirang did just that.
The bulgogi was sweet and delicious, we opted for the not spicy version, and it held its shape when cooked. I've had bulgogi that basically dissolved and became a gritty mess before and this was not like that.
The teriyaki chicken was flavorful and juicy before dipping it into the teriyaki sauce that came on the side, it's wasn't marinated beforehand, and I found that I enjoyed it that way. With the sauce it was equally delicious, but while the sauce was a pretty good balance of sweet, salty, and savory, I don't think I'd like my chicken covered in it.
I'd never had chadol before and I have to say that the thinly sliced beef brisket was super delicious and one of my favorite meats of the night.
Another offering that I hadn't tried before was the pork moksal which were larger pieces of pork that took quite a long time to cook. They were on the chewy side, but in a really pleasant way for me. The flavor was a bit of a surprise because it tasted deeper than pork but not rich like beef...somewhere in between that was really awesome. This will go on my regular choices whenever I visit here again.
Our last meat choice was the obvious samgyupsal, the fatty pork belly. It was thick and delicious and really good when dipped in the sesame oil, salt, and pepper as well as the richer medium savory sauce. I'm sure it would be awesome with the spicier sauce too, but with no gallbladder I'm forced to limit my spice intake (*cue crying emoji).
The ddeokbokki was a little spicier than I anticipated but the heat in my mouth dissipated really quickly and I was able to enjoy every single bite.
This was a truly delicious meal and I'm really, really glad someone recommended this place to me. The A set on its own is only available for lunch at $24.95, but set B (which includes all the offerings in set A and B) is offered all day for $27.95, as well as set C (which includes all three sets of meat choices) being offered all day for $32.95. Set C is where you'll find L.A. Galbi and the steak selections.
Fountain drinks are Pepsi products and are free refills, the Coca-Cola products come in cans and are not free refills. They have a decent selection of sake and soju as well. We didn't leave room for dessert, which is not included in the AYCE set meals.
I'll absolutely give this place another visit the next time...

So I will admit, this was not the first on my list. I went somewhere else, the line was long and ridiculous, so it was a get me some food right now type emotion. That is where Korean BBQ tempted my hunger. Went on Yelp and sure enough this place was right in the vicinity I was.
Upon entering it was a little busy nothing to out of control as they were moving people very quickly. Was greeted with great customer service and ushered over to table. As we were sitting down, all of the banchan was being set up, drink order taken, and the fun began.
Opted of course for Steak, Galbi, Tongue, Brisket, Corn Cheese, Gyoza, & Bulgogi. Everything was on point. They even brought out extra things I asked for to help with my seasonings - I learned this from someone I was close to once upon a time.
Interior is not like any other AYCE place I have been to. They have individual fans above each to table remove smoke from cooking. Everything was very clean. The staff was continually cleaning up after each patron. My table was very well taken care of. Drinks were filled. Staff were wearing masks to ensure good ol safety precautions.
Would def recommend - Pricing is typical for ACYE. I loved the banchan and the portions of meat that was given. Staff was very friendly and hospitable. There menu is pretty...
Read moreThe atmosphere is great, but the portions are smaller compared to other Korean bbq places, and the prices are the same if not more expensive. The meat tasted good but other places season it better that here. The most disappointing part was the service. Please keep in mind everything happened when it was NOT busy at all.. My parents and husband went out to enjoy a great time but the service was where we left the restaurant with the feeling of wishing it was better. Waiters and waitresses were not attentive at all... the entire time we had to wave and awkwardly say, "hello there" to get their attention. We had to go to the napkin and plate area ourselves to get what we needed because my mom spilled water on her pants but we couldn't get anyone's attention no matter how hard we tried. We wanted to have the meat coming consistently but had to wait and walk to the waiter and waitresses every time to order more food because we were left hungry and our grill was black and smoking so hard because it wasn't getting changed out and it was burning our eyes... I might come back if I'm hungry enough and in the area, but if I could help it, I'll probably go to all the other Korean bbq places that take care of me way better with tastier meat and lower prices. Thank you Arirang BBQ, it was nice but most likely I won't be...
