Not your pre-packaged Mexican fare. If you’re looking for something a little more personal and artisanal, or just something different than your typical Mexican spot, stop here. The atmosphere was clean and inviting and fresh, but not so much so that we felt rushed. Cozy. We ordered iced tea and learned the tea at the ready is a green tea with ginger, which was very delicious. Our server, Lukas, brought us two additional flavors, informing us that they use loose leaf tea and flowers to brew. I ordered 2 shrimp tacos ala carte, but requested the coleslaw and habanero sauce to accompany it. It was delicious! My husband ordered steak and chicken street tacos and said they were excellently marinated. Lukas brought us a plate of sauces and all were flavorful and added depth to our meals. I also want to mention that when we walked in, the music was a little loud for conversation, but when I asked Lukas if he’d be willing to turn it down, he was kindly accommodating, which I greatly appreciated. We learned this restaurant is one of a kind, family owned, and they’re fairly new, which means we gotta help them get the word out so we can enjoy them for years to come. I 100% recommend enjoying your next meal here and leaving your raving review so others can find it, too! Thank you, Picanta!...

Read moreThis place has good quality Mexican food plates. The chile relleno was savory, cheesy and fantastic. It wasn't overwhelming heavy. It had a nice balance in flavor between the egg and tomatoes. The asada omelet was delicious. It was tasty and the asada meat had so much flavor to it. We really enjoyed the food. I had the charros plate. It looks like a huarache but different. It was a bolio bread type with cheese, chorizo, bacon and picó de gallo. This was a good dish but it can be a bit on the heavy side. I don't regret ordering this plate but I couldn't finish it so I took the rest home. The desert pan de concha we taste was so good. It had a nice balance between sugar, fruit and creaminess. I would recommend for Pele familiar with pan dulce. I would definitely come back again. The staff was attentive and would check in on us often. The best part was the café de olla. I have taste many but this one tops all of them. This café didn't disappointed! Yummmmm. There's also regular coffee for those that don't want this tasty drinking treat, along other drink options such as sodas of...
