The Brisket sandwich on brioche and grilled onions. Along with pickled jalapeño and some kind of leaves awash in a tasty asian inspired sauce.
Sides elements were not too spicy but I didn’t eat them.
Brisket was very tasty. Light sauce and plenty of delicious dry rub. Cooked perfectly and saddled into a cloud-like brioche bun.
Almost heavenly. Almost.
Every BBQ place across the States, worth its seasoned salt, piles the Brisket across the buns until it’s falling out. Often requiring a utensil to retrieve it.
The Blood Bros, for some reason, visibly cheaped out on the meat portion. Using no more than four ounces.
The other irritating thing was how the brisket was cut. Rather than cut thin slices the length of the actual brisket, they (i watched) cut one big portioned piece, then used a cleaver to chop that into 1”-1.5” cubes.
This made for difficult eating of this sandwich. Chunks rolling out and off at each bite was annoying.
As I devoured the BBQ flavored bun, I couldn’t help but notice, and photograph, just how anorexic this sandwich was.
At $15.71, plus $1.29 tip, I should NOT be seeing gaps in the meat with only bun in many of my bites.
Truly, a pathetic presentation and simply highway robbery for the fee incurred.
Good flavor. Tender brisket… make it a fair deal. You might...
Read moreFood was excellent with a short wait time. The turkey was well smoked with a good rub. The sausage had a lot of cheese mixed into it. It was one of the better cheese sausages I’ve had. The corn is spicy. Not burn-your-face-off scorpion pepper spicy, but it is spicy. The bread that the entrées come with is nothing special. Could have taken it to the “wow” level with buttered toast.
Maybe lower star ratings were from folks who thought this was going to be a $50+ per plate steak house. It’s fast food BBQ folks, and it’s pretty good.
We got our food quickly. We were in town for Katy Perry’s premiering show, “Play,” ordered our food at the food court kiosk 2 hours before the doors opened for the show, and it still took less than 15 minutes to get our order. Finding a table right before a show can be a challenge. Have one person in your party scout out a table a few minutes before you get there. At least have one person looking for a table while the other is ordering at the kiosk. There were no lines at the kiosk, but people were lined up at the restaurants to put in orders.
Live sports games were on so we could watch OU football game while eating....
Read moreDon't waste your time or money on this "hot spot". I got the pulled pork and brisket fried rice. One, the pulled pork was so dry. It came thrown on a slice of white sandwich bread. The texture f the so called pulled pork was like some sort of shredded meat mixed with saw dust, along with a beyond overpowering taste of cumin! It only took one bite for me to immediately regret what i just ordered. Two, the rice was full of fatty pieces of brisket, without the meat! It also had a flavor of what I can only think old refrigerated rice would taste like. The taste of cumin in my mouth would not go away! Even after brushing my teeth and using mouth wash. Save yourselves and eat...
