Friendly fast staff. Brisk business. I will definitely be back. I got one of every taco, it being taco Tuesday. They found this a tad amusing. I see why. They have several on the menu. I made a tasting plate with a bite or two of each generous taco.
The cabasa the lengua and shrimp were the best I will get these 3 again next time and never look back.
The carne asada and cheek were decent. I found them to both have a little more oil then I like but the flavor was there. Cheek is often fatty so perhaps a harsh critique but asadais often dry. This asada was not dry, it had a nice little crisp on it, very yummy but was a tad greasy.
The shredded chicken was just ok...but honestly, where have you found an awesome chicken taco? Nowhere. Chicken isn't the best protein for a taco. It dries out. To me, Its just a safe meat that people order.
The ones I liked the least were, suprisingly, the alpastor (a little tough), the fish (thicker oilier breading) and the shredded beef but the hard taco shell of the beef (and chicken) were crunchy and lovely..
Their red hot sauce is quite hot and has a smoked/charred hot peper taste. The green is spicy with a vinegar kick.
In my car with all the smells mingled together I was dying. It smelled so so so so so so good.
While there waiting on the order a woman came in and demanded to use the bathroom. They tried to tell her it wasn't working but she started screeming and pleading and begging and screaming and screaming and screaming loudly at them to use the bathroom so with a restaurant full of people and her disrupting business, they decided it was best to take her out of the scenario and let her into the bathroom. Which she then never came out of ( bathing?).
To say the clientelle is diverse is an understatement. Don't come to this area if you can't handle the gritty reality and rustic ambiance of city life in a transitional neighborhood. But do if you want some great tacos.
After the bathroom scream queen was taken to the bathroom,The order taker then came back and washed his hands longer and more carefully then I've ever seen an employee wash hands...so kudos A+++ on handwashing techniques. Seriously, I was impressed.
Also, even after this somewhat outrageous event, he returned to work with a smile that started from his soul and finished in his eyes and beamed out to...
Read moreAs an avid consumer of street tacos and burritos I'm always on the hunt for delicious, authentic, and affordable mexican food. I bicycle everywhere so I come across all the hole in the wall places in every city. Today I found Bravo Taco Shop on my ride home from work and I was immediately impressed with the prices $6.50 for an asada burrito with pico, guac, and salsa. I was planning to cook tonight but for that price I had to try it. Got home, took two bites, and I had to write this review. They throw down at this place. The tortillas taste homemade (not sure) the pico and guac are full of flavor and not just runny and bland (cough cough roberto's) and most importantly the asada itself is quality, not all chewy and full of fat, it's also cooked to perfection. Seasoned nicely, not too salty, and actually cooked with a sear to it and not all half raw and chewy like alot of joints around Vegas. I'll definitely be back and I'd recommend you try it too if you want a solid, affordable, not greasy Mexican meal
So I don't know what the heck happened to this place between my last visit 5-6 months ago and now but it's not the same at all. They've got an entirely different menu resembling Roberto's with prices 2.50-3$ higher than before. Went in today and got 3 tiny street tacos for over $7 no rice or beans just the tacos. And the food was not the same at all. Greasy chewy asada and stale tortillas. Such a shame I really wanted to like this place but they just turned into...
Read moreI loved the service. The food was okay. The reason why i gave them only 2 stars is because when you order something they dont sell on a regular they will serve you old food..😔 Lengua tacos are my favorite so i know what they should look and taste like. I grew up in cali eating them on a daily.. They served me old dried up lengua cut up in cubes. It was hard and also dry. Lengua is a very juicy moist meat so how they felt like that was okay was disrespectful to me. Like i wouldnt know what its supposed to be. Not only did i spend 60+ bucks on food for me and my children. I tipped them just for ringing up the food. I couldnt even eat the 4 lengua tacos i ordered... I would not go here any more because i dont like to spend my money on places that dont take pride in thier food being fresh and quality and thier establishment being clean. The fact that they took my money and served me something they wouldnt eat or serve thier people said alot about how they feel about the community they put thier restaurant in and...
