I used to write"only positive reviews" before. To support struggling businesses. When it was deserved by the establishment. But, on occasion. I visit a place which truly needs to be forewarned about. HOMIES, is a business which is, presumably, built on, if not great, at least, very good "CINNAMON ROLLS". otherwise, if a business cannot produce an excellent item for which it is themed after, then, what's the point? My wife LOVES, cinnamon Rolls. So when we drive past "HOMIES CINNAMON ROLLS", naturally, we stopped in. I SWEAR! Cinnamon rolls, that are sold pre-packaged, at any dollar store. Are much smarter and tastier, than paying what we did here at HOMIES. WE BOUGHT a few extra cinnamon rolls, for later consumption, WHICH I TOTALLY REGRETTED. The price is way way, over priced for what you get in size and especially flavor. The young lady who "helped" us, had a very bad attitude. A ghetto attitude. Perhaps the name "HOMIES" IS a perfect name for the establishment. I would never try to purposefully sabatage a business. Quite the contrary. But, my exact experience and opinion, was shared by, my nephew, and two colleagues from work,I later found out.. you've...
Read moreI’m writing of my behalf of my husband whose VERY upset. We got a $100 food voucher and was excited to use it, but didn’t have too many places where we could use it at. We looked up places where we can use it and found Homies cinnamon rolls popped up, my husband LOVES cinnamon rolls. And also we where in town for the weekend and read some reviews on the place and was ready to try this place out. The first day we tried to find it and had no luck with finding it, which was a heart breaker, so we decided to try again on our lasted day which was today(Sunday). We found it, we had to take two buses and walk a little, but we finally made it. We got to the door it was locked it’s was the most disappointing moment of the trip. We had even called and was told they would be open there was no sign or anything left on the door. We were there well before the closing time and also it said on line it was open and also it said it open DAYLY from 7am-1pm. That’s was a lie he would had LOVED to tried a Cinnamon Roll before we left to go back home. Hopefully next time we touch down in Vegas he would get to try the cinnamon rolls and write a better review till then 1...
Read moreI've never been so sad. Tried Homie's food around the time he first opened, about 5 years ago. It was him and maybe 1 or 2 other employees. Man treated us with kindness and he gave us a fresh box of 4 rolls. Not only do these rolls blow out the price they were sold for, but I also haven't had a cinnamon roll that good to this day. Even homemade ones; I've tried and I have plenty of experience in baking and cooking, both professionally and as a hobby. There's never been a dough that moist, that flavorful, and that perfect. Not to mention the icing and just how well it coincided with the roll itself. Then you get down to the smear of sugar and cinnamon between the folds of the roll and you have the best cinnamon roll in this part of the valley. I had only been to Homie's twice, once for the rolls and the other time for the breakfast plates, which were almost as good. This spot was tucked away in a shopping outlet, almost clear out of view, and it's a tragedy just how little business it received. Homie's had so much love to give and deserved much more than it received, and I hope it comes back someday. I've never been so heartbroken at seeing a local...
