Atmosphere was great. Got there around 8:15am, it was pretty chill. Got greeted almost immediately. Sat at the bar and ordered a bloody, pretty standard. When I received my drink, I ordered a ham and cheese omelet with home fries and biscuit. Made a phone call at 8:23 right after placing my order. (Time stamp purposes) Drank my bloody around the 15 min mark. I noticed a few people waiting at the bar, trying to get some drinks and she is just ignoring everyone. I took notice since my drink had been empty as well. Sonia was the bartender. I've been a bartender for a decade and I just don't understand how a bartender can be so rude and careless about their patrons. Literally no sense of urgency. Especially in a tourist town! It's like she didn't even want to make money. There was maybe a hand full of people at the bar. She disappears for a good 20 minutes. I find another employee and ask to speak to a manager. It's 8:53 and I have had an empty drink for 15 and no food for 30 min. She politely said she would text her manager and also asked me where the bartender went. Manager came and apologized, the searched for the bartender. When bartender came I asked about my food and she scoffed and stated "it's not my fault the kitchen is busy and they haven't finished your order" she goes to the kitchen and comes back saying she Is sorry she never even put my order in. Its 9:04 and she finally puts it in and gives me another drink. She pours me a free vodka soda double. Kinda made it better. Finally my food arrives, cold. Even the cheese on top was cold and not melted. Home fries are as dead and cold as Walt Disney. 5 minutes later an expediter brings me another omelet. I think I got someone else's food at this point. It was ridiculous and I almost missed my flight. Manager gave me 20% off the meal. I tipped when I felt I really should not have. I would try this place again, as long as Sonia toned down her rudness and toned up her...
Read moreStopped here as my last meal before flying out of Vegas with a hankering for one last steak. Found this to be reasonably priced and decently reviewed so I gave it a shot. Ordered a beer and the Filet which came with a choice of salad and side. Ordered medium and got the house chopped salad and mashed potatoes. Got the salad first and boy they didn't skimp. Most unique chopped salad ingredients I've had thus far. Big chunks of cheese which was neither here nor there. Salad was big enough on it's own for me to have been full but I didn't finish it wanting to save room for the main dish. This salad is the only reason I'm giving 2 stars for the food. Waited a worrying amount of time for my main and when I received it I found out why. The filet was THOROUGHLY cooked to well done with not a hint of pink inside to be found. Fortunately they didn't go all the way to inedible and filet can stand up to being cooked well done but then it's no longer steak meat in my opinion that's what you do when you want to cut it up to use in another dish. Anyway, I sat there bewildered for a moment and checked by receipt and confirmed that I did indeed order it done medium. Oh I didn't mention that the waiter doesn't take your order you have to scan a QR code and order on your phone. As a result the service was basically non-existent. To add to that I had a seat right by the entrance and vaguely overheard them telling people they wouldn't be served in my section due to the waiter being on break. Yup my waiter went on break after dropping off my beer (he wasn't even the one that brought my food) and I had 0 recourse to even ask for my steak redone if I cared enough to ask. I decided it wasn't worth the effort and just finished up, paid, and left. Oh and the mashed potatoes were cold and bland. Should have known better than to trust an airport business for anything. Hopefully you don't make the same mistake. They don't deserve the moniker...
Read moreI recently had the misfortune of dining at a fast-food joint in the Las Vegas Airport, and I must say it was an experience I'd rather forget. In search of a quick and satisfying meal before my flight, I ordered what should have been a simple and delicious chicken sandwich. However, what I received can only be described as the worst chicken sandwich of my life.
Firstly, let's talk about the buns. They were burned to a crisp, and I'm not exaggerating. It was as if someone had left them on the grill for far too long, turning them into blackened, inedible disks. Not only did they look unappetizing, but they also tasted like carbon. I couldn't believe they actually served this to customers.
The main attraction, the chicken, wasn't any better. It was overcooked to the point of being dry and tough, with a distinctly burnt flavor that made every bite an exercise in disappointment. The texture was unpleasant, and it seemed like the kitchen staff had little regard for the quality of the ingredients they were using.
To add insult to injury, the sandwich was accompanied by a wilted lettuce leaf and a sad slice of tomato that appeared to have seen better days. The condiments, if you could call them that, were applied haphazardly, further contributing to the overall lackluster experience.
I understand that fast-food restaurants are not known for gourmet cuisine, but even by those standards, this meal was unacceptable. The prices at airports are often inflated, but that's no excuse for serving food that's not only subpar but also bordering on inedible.
In conclusion, I wouldn't recommend this fast-food establishment at the Las Vegas Airport to anyone looking for a quick meal before their flight. The burned buns and the carbon-like taste of the chicken sandwich were a culinary disaster, and I can only hope that my next airport dining experience will be...
