Having loved the Fremont location for many years we were excited to try this incarnation despite absence of 'old Vegas' vibe. They were eager to assure our group, to our surprise, that Horseshoe location is NOT affiliated. Boy what an understatement. This awful operation bearing the Binion's name doesn't deserve the name (no matter how much Ceasars paid for it) nor does it deserve to survive. Let's start with the steak. For 20 years, we travel to NYC frequently for foodie trips. We adore Smith and Wollensky, Peter Luger, Keens, the now defunct Breslan, and many iconic steakhouses. For Las Vegas, the Fremont Binion's is on par with some of the greats.
This pathetic facsimile at the Horseshoe is many many steps below that. Think Outback or Applebee's (no I've never had a steak at either but I can only imagine this is what I'd get)
Better had we snapped a photo but we didn't. The Ribeye medium rare was only very slightly overcooked. Not ok but not fatal. This piece of meat was chewy, grisly, and the fat wasn't the luscious marble variety. It was pockets of globulous fat, inedible. The most egregious was the size. It was only smallish in diameter but thinner than any $60 Ribeye we've ever seen. This one was $100 with zero accompaniment. A thin chewy piece of overcooked fatty meat on a plate for a hundred bucks. Unforgivable and insulting. The $20 sides were actually tasty. Creamed spinach tasty. Baked potato huge and interior fluffy albeit the skin wrinkly and dry as only a reheated potato presents. Neither come close to making up for the catastrophic 'steak' Too, if you're actually hungry bring a snack because the grossly overpriced menu does not include bread or crackers pre meal like a legit steakhouse.
If you want the actual Binion's experience, with all the accoutrements, in a marvelous throwback setting, call an Uber, head to Fremont and enjoy a fabulous old school steakhouse with delectable Ribeye, prime rib, filet et al and for about a little more than half the price of this radically inferior Horseshoe operation disguised as an upscale steakhouse.
We're actually going to stay closer to that end of the strip so we can be in proximity our next trip.

We traveled a long way from Japan to the U.S., and upon arriving in Las Vegas on February 14, 2025, we chose this restaurant for its reputation and our desire for a great meal. However, we were treated with disdain and possibly discriminated against.
We arrived at 7:00 PM and, despite seeing empty tables, the concierge informed us that there was no availability. We politely insisted, explaining that we were exhausted from our journey and needed to eat, but he was impatient, sarcastic, and even rude while attempting to understand my name. Nevertheless, we asked if we could make a reservation. He suggested a very specific time: 9:55 PM. With no other option, we accepted and spent almost three hours waiting in the cold.
When we returned at the scheduled time, to our surprise, the restaurant was empty, and the staff member who greeted us stated that there was no reservation under our name, that the kitchen had already closed at 9:50 PM, and that she was leaving for the night. In other words, we were deliberately misled and made to wait for no reason.
This situation was embarrassing, infuriating, and indicative of something far more serious than a mere miscommunication. In all our gastronomic travels, we have never been treated with such disregard and lack of professionalism.
If this is how the restaurant treats foreign customers or those they deem unfit for their establishment, it is truly regrettable. As passionate food lovers who frequent fine restaurants worldwide, we have never experienced such disrespect.
If you value respectful service and a dining experience worthy of the price you pay, this is not the place for you.
I do not recommend this restaurant and am sharing this review so that others are aware of the possibility of exclusionary and discriminatory treatment by its staff. And finally, to the owner, whom I believe is unaware of...
Read moreI don’t even know where to begin with this- probably the only thing I enjoyed during this dinner was the chips and cheese dip appetizer. I understand steakhouses may take a bit longer. But the timing of our dinner was ridiculous. About an hour from when our order was taken to when we actually got our food. The only other steakhouse that took almost as long was Gordon Ramsay Steakhouse and that’s too be expected with the sheer volume and tables that they accommodate. Binion’s steakhouse is half the size and was far less busy. Really no reason for it to take that long. Also, had to continually ask for refills on drinks- they werent really attentive to anything. Then the bus staff not the friendliest either- actually quite rude- we had asked where the restroom was and they directed us to the furtherest one away and then another person asked where the restroom and the busser pointed at another person in our party and said “I already explained it to him” and proceeded to walk away. Then our meals- 6 people in our party ordered BONE IN ribeyes but only two people actually had a bone in steak and 3 of those steaks were incorrectly cooked. We also ordered their prime rib and it too was also cooked to the wrong temperature. They forgot one of our loaded baked potatoes. And when I asked for a to-go box, the waiter then began to clear my plates like I didn’t just ask for my box for my food and when I said I was going to box my food- he said “I was just clearing the table I thought you were done”. Then we asked for the check- and I mentioned that I was going to room charge and before I could even give him the room number he was already walking away from me- then he realized he didn’t have my room number.
Overall experience was bad. Between timing and service- this place has some work to do. Don’t think I’ll be back and don’t think I’ll be recommending this place to...
