I had been craving a warm butter lobster roll ever since visiting Boston 4 years ago, and it has been so hard to find a lobster roll that wasn't drenched in cold mayo. Then I stumble upon Luke's as I am walking in the sweltering heat of Vegas. OBSESSED. In about 24 hours, I had the same meal 3x. 4 oz warm lemon butter lobster roll, lobster bisque, the free pickle spear... All three times it was phenomenal. I had the leftover portion of my roll the next day for breakfast and it was still chef's kiss. As a cheap girl, I had no problem spending $42ish dollars each time I wanted my fix. It was worth every cent. Heather and her crew were also the most personable, wonderful employees who described everything I wanted to know about the food. It was the best meal I had in Vegas all week. I cannot wait to visit the one in Chi-town now. Heather, you could use a little fan for the patio, but I had no problem eating my hot bisque and warm roll and toasted bread in the 100 degree heat because it was heaven on earth! Oh, and one of the employees suggested buying an extra piece of bread to dip into my bisque, and the bread was like that delicious toasted butter crack bread that Cane's sells. GO HERE....
Read moreThe food was good, however, the waitstaff/cooks were extremely RUDE. There is only one customer in to order at a time. After 15 minutes of waiting in line I poked my head in and they were like "only one party at a time" Okay, another 15 minutes goes by and I poke my head in again and they are COOKING their food - I did not know I had to wait for them to not only order (as their is an outdoor seating area) but for them to cook it as well. Once I got in they took my order and sent me to sit outside. WHAT????? I did not understand as I guess I was assuming they would not allow others or have me wait inside until my food was cooked. I asked the cashier WHY did I have to wait for 30 minutes outside while you cooked their food while I order and you send me outside? She said "Well, I wanted to make sure they were getting EXACTLY what they wanted, they have never been here before" Well, I had never been there before either. VERY FRUSTRATING and would not recommend this place due to the experience I had. Super disappointing. I did have the lobster grilled cheese and it was good but the whole experience left me with a sour taste in my mouth. NOT good customer...
Read moreThey took my original review down cause of how true it was and the accuracy of how much of a ripoff this place is. Paid almost $75 for a small subpar lobster roll (the size of my 10 year old daughter’s hand and wrist), a bag of chips, a small can of ginger ale(that was $4 somehow!), and a badly made and bland grilled cheese. The only remotely decent thing was the sauce which still wasn’t that good. Still ate it, cause I paid for it, but never again. Found the photo that I originally posted a while ago. I’m all for supporting small businesses, if this place is a small business, but I do not support price gouging. They’re lucky they’re on the cusp of a gouged price and no one can file anything on it since it’s within the “legal amount”, but that is ridiculous.
Update: Went to Fatburger and bought a XXXL Fatburger 1.5lbs with sweet potato fries and a large drink. Only spent $40! FORTY DOLLARS!! Spent half the amount and got enough food for 3 or 4 days. 🤦♂️
TLDR; Save your money. Go eat at Burger King for an extremely cheaper and better made and better tasting experience. This place gets an “L” from me, and unfortunately; I get an “L” too...
