Wish I got more photos/videos of the dishes ordered. The food was great, no complains there. Stayed as a group for a 30th birthday celebration - travelled to Vegas from various parts of Canada and wanted to get a nicer dinner on our last evening there. Showed up at the restaurant which was attached to our hotel (Planet Hollywood) - incredible for convenience. The restaurant looked to be moderately busy, but still a bunch of empty tables so nothing crazy busy at all. After being seated it took what felt like forever just for our server to come by and get us a water. Those waters were brought over by someone else. When ordering the food we were all going to get a 19.99 special where you get an app, and a main. Server tried to get us not to order them because of the “incredibly small portion size” but we rationalized it being ok and thought we would get a pizza on the strip later if we needed more food. Server again disappears not to be seen again, apps are again brought over by someone else, server didn’t check in to make sure they were ok. On to main course someone else brought those too, and the portion was absolutely massive. We could not understand why someone would try to sell us out of those choices other than to try and increase his personal tip percentage possibility at the end - but again we have barley seen the guy through the whole meal. Since it was a birthday celebration we did get a free dessert for the birthday person, and I ordered a piece of cake for myself which again took forever to come, and was brought by someone other than our server again. After completing the meal, our server didn’t come back to check for bills, we had to ask a different server for those. After receiving our bills we said we were all ready to pay as we had to leave for a show…. And our server again left and did not come back. I had to ask who I would assume was the head lady in charge that evening to bill us out as we had a Lyft driver waiting to pick us up and had to leave. Finally paid and out the door we went. Food was great. Atmosphere was good, seeing the casino life all around was cool. Whoever that server is needs to do better, or find a different job he can excel at because that was just not good for a more...
Read moreLast night, Feb 27, 2024 was the first time I've went back to PF Chang's since the Pandemic. Maybe it's just this particular location but the overall dining experience has went down-hill. First thing we noticed was the hostess was not particularly friendly. She was polite but noticeably irritated when we asked for a booth instead of the table we were directed towards. We sat down at our table and the top rocked back and forth. It was in need of repair. In a short time our server arrived and took our order but it took forever for our drinks to come out & the place was not busy. The rest of the service was good. We ordered the lettuce wrapped chicken as an appetizer and what a surprise! The lettuce wraps are no longer served with large, green lettuce leaves. In their place are the white parts of the lettuce head which are much smaller but the chicken mix was as good as I remember. The last time I was at PF Chang's, the waiter served a variety of sauces for the chicken wraps. This time, there was no choice just one sauce. The menu is scaled way down & a little difficult to comprehend for some reason that I can't explain. Also, the dinner plates are small square dishes about the same size as a dessert plate, for whatever reason I can't comprehend. One dish that I really liked at PF Chang's was the 3 flavors pan fried noodles but it was missing from the new menu so I asked our waiter if the dish was discontinued. He said it was taken off the menu but was available on the "hidden" menu so that's what we ordered. It was excellent just as I remembered. Also interesting was no tea provided. Maybe it was extra, don't know. My summary of our visit is; although it's still very good food with the PF Chang's spin on special flavors, it's no longer a dining experience to be remembered. I guess this is the result of the chain getting bought out by an investment group who...
Read moreI rarely write scathing reviews however I'm left with no choice after eating here on New Years day. Let's start with the positive. The atmosphere here is pretty nice, I mean, it's Vegas, I wouldn't expect anything less. The service however wasn't the best. My friend and I sat at the bar and the gentleman that helped us, seemed to be a bit lost. At one point it appeared that two of the other people behind the bar was getting on him for his numerous mistakes. Finally, the reason why I decided to write this post. I hadn't eaten at PF Chang's in no less than 10 years. We decided to go here because it was getting late, we were tired and it was "familiar". I decided to have the "New" Orange Chicken , my friend had Crispy Honey Shrimp. Along with it I had a pomergranate lemonade. Immediately I could tell that the flavoring was a bit off for orange chicken but , when you're hungry you push through. My friend, unlike me, decided to ask for some extra sauce for her shrimp because she said it seemed a little dry. However, like I said, we plowed through. Needless to say the very next morning, the sickness ensued. The diarrhea, the fever, the dehydration was overwhelming. It totally ruined my last day in Veags. So much so that I was afraid to fly back to the east coast for fear of being sick on the plane. Today is January 3rd. I dined at PF Chang's on the evening 1st, I have yet to have one bite to eat since then for fear of being sick. Not to mention, the diarrhea has yet to go away. There is only one conclusion that I can draw from this experience. Food poisoning. It's been years since I've eaten at PF Chang's, you can rest assured that I will NEVER eat...
