English Garden Florist — Local services in Paradise

UPDATE: This is my second order from English Florist, and WOW!! I submitted an order for a florist’s choice arrangement for local delivery to my mother (just because), noting that I loved the example at the top of their recent promotional email. I called to make sure they knew what I was referring to in my submission and let them know that my selected delivery date could be moved if labor day weekend was super busy for them, and they were beyond kind, accommodating, and insistent on keeping my original chosen date. The arrangement arrived safely and turned out even better than I had expected. It’s apparent that the crew at English Florist take great pride in what they do, and I’ll be calling them any time that I’m in need of a local flower arrangement.

Original Review: So glad I chose English Garden out of the hundreds of local flower shops in Vegas to create and deliver an arrangement for Mother’s Day! I live across the country from my mom, but I wanted to support a small business as opposed to a large online company; I sifted through shop after shop and tons of reviews in order to find this shop, which was one of the few well-rated ones that allowed a simple way to customize an arrangement. I asked for a small arrangement using fragrant purple and yellow flowers primarily (her favorite colors), and I left it up to the florist with no preview of how it might look. Fortunately, it turned out even better than I had hoped for, it arrived promptly as scheduled in great condition, and my mom loved it! I will most definitely be contacting them again for future...

Great customer service, I regret not taking a photo of the beautiful arrangement but it was a hectic day. I called and asked if I could place a sympathy bouquet order and gave them my price range with a request of a couple white roses at least. They provided a very elegant bouquet that was PERFECT and yes I know I spent 70ish dollars but even a week after the wife of her late husband (who the service was for), her son told me she LOVED the flowers and they were her favorite.

I think spending a little more on a BEAUTIFUL bouquet is worth it. The flowers were fresh and perfectly white.

When picking up your order, you have to open the North entrance door and your order should be on the table after you call to let them know you are there.

I ordered this same day in the morning and then picked it up a couple hours afterwards. I thought it would be a bit more complicated but it wasn't. If you order a larger piece i'm sure there will be a wait. I will be going here instead of settling for grocery store flowers lol....

I was very disappointed with my experience. This bouquet was for my wedding day, and I specifically requested no white roses the one detail I emphasized. I even tipped generously before delivery to show appreciation. Unfortunately, the bouquet arrived with flowers that looked exactly like white roses.

When the florist called to confirm delivery, I mentioned my concern. The driver initially offered to come fix it, but after speaking with the designer, he decided not to, saying they weren’t white roses, just another flower that looked like them. Regardless of the name, they looked exactly like what I asked to avoid.

I ended up redoing my bouquet myself while getting my hair and makeup done, and when I told the driver, he chastised me, saying I’d probably destroyed it. For the cost and importance of the day, I expected much more care and compassion. What should have been a joyful detail became a stressful disappointment.
