It's a nice place. My sister and I ordered 1 torta de milanesa and carne asada tacos. The price is not what you expect from a Mexican restaurant. It's a bit pricier but not too crazy. Think of it as a trendy hipster place for Mexican fast food.
Let me just say the torta was huge! Just half a torta filled up my sister and she felt like that was even pushing it. Now my tacos were not as great. My meat and tortilla were dry. It was also flavorless. I had to use a lot of salsa and onions to give it flavor.
Now the customer service was, meh. It was neither great nor bad. The girl taking your order didnt really seem to like her job. So she takes your order and that's it. No friendly interaction whatsoever. I worked in customer service for a long time and my customers knew me by name and I built a friendly relationship with them. Maybe thats just me and I am bias. However, that's important to me and that's a standard I look for in businesses.
I feel that its a trendy place because its new. I will give them bonus points for their huge torta that was actually really good, but I have to take away a star for my dry food and having spent $25+ for food that didnt wow me. I wish them the best and I hope they grow and learn how...
Read moreHeard about this place a while ago and their fantastic tortas and finally had time after work to go. Parked in the little alley before the main street because the plaza right next to it had towing signs everywhere. Are warmly greeted once inside and on the walls theres this fantastically colorful menu with all different types of tortas. Wanted to get the most expensive one with all sorts of meat but trust me, it's a lot of meat. Got La Chilanga, which had ham, carnitas, milanesa, queso fundido, avocado, lettuce tomato jalapeno. Fresh salasa bar with onion, rabanos and cilantro and peppino. First bit into it, I could tell this was going to be a two hand job. Pardon my french mais le fromage c'etait magnifique! The taste was amazing and the vegetables were fresh and the salsa was spicy. 10/10 would come again. I ate all of my torta but I had a light lunch. If you eat like a bird, definitely share with someone. Want to try the Hawaiian torta with ham and pineapple. They have a...
Read moreThe place is medium sized with limited parking, Must try on a night that it is not packed down. It is shared with a money cashing place. Also no parking in the boost mobile parking lot... The torta we demolished was "La chingona". I must say it is "Enormous";). Two people can share and not finish. It is to big to bite all at once but it was neatly stacked with all the meats and veggies( You are asked if you want everything which is lettuce, tomato, jalapenos in vinagre etc. The taste is overwhelming with flavor, also theirs a salsa bar but it was not needed. If you do not like to get your hands dirty like some women you can take a metal/ silver knife and fork the plastic will not do. Also their is a lovely flat screen menu that showcases all the Tortas and what is included, as well as drinks. (OH! the horchata is authentic.) It is kinda small for a big newborn stroller. The staff is Friendly, Fun, and Fantastic. Will definitely go back to try...
