Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Paris

So I've been on the road last Saturday for 6 hours. It was about 9 pm and I decided to give Applebees a chance. The hostess was certainly nice, escorted me to my seat. Shortly after, I was greeted by a timid lady with what I preseume had no spine. She took my drink and appetizer order, then came back for my meal choice. It felt like she had no confidence in her ability to do just the basics. But whaterever, my drink arrived, then the appetizer. I ordered their Wonton chicken tacos and they deserved all the possitive stars I gave. It was certainly the highlight of all this. Tons of flavor which I really did not expect. Just finished themup and the western bbq burger arrived. Fries were hot n seasoned. I mean really, who screws these up should retire. lol The burger was bog, and not short of toppings. Again this have decent flavor and was not disappointing. And that is all the good I can be honest about. Now the turnign point to me never coming back. I ate less than half my food and needed a restroom break.... yeah, I bet you can guess the next part. I return to my table cleared, food tossed, drink gone... I was quite annoyed, upset and confused as to who the F throws someones food away without verifying I left. Heck, I still had not paid the server!! Instead of her getting a manager, she goes to retreive my ticket. The hostess saw I was upset and asked me what happened, I explained and she went to get the manager. By now I just wanted to leave. I am trying to count the money out and the server would not shut up blaming everyone else. I finally snapped and asked her to be quiet so I can count what I had for cash. Even after I left a tip she was still annoying. The4 slow and steady so called manager finally arrived and I just walked out. Why was this manager not already opn the floor? I saw every staff member playing on their cells, groping each other and being unprofessional which tells me teh manager is there for a little check only. This is why people hate going to this place, I get it now. Also, a huge sign out there saying half off appetizers after 9 pm, but clearly I was...

The service at the Paris, TX applebees has become very poor. When you hire young teena that don't have table manners of any sort. We went to dinner for 5 , was not greeted properly at the door, then was seated we waited a good 10 mins before greeted for drinks, she brought only 4 napkins and stated I don't have enough napkins "oh well" so we asked to go ahead and place our order of food as well. The waitress had an attitude for that. We finally recieve our drinks and noticed that our table was leaning to one side,pointed it out to her and nothing was done or offered to move to another table. We then are waiting for food for a good bit and my oldest daughter had took the lid off her child tea for a refill, she walks by and said " you need tea already"! After this she saw me which I'm sure recieved a mom look, she returned with her drink and as putting it on the table she hits my husband straw in his tea on her elbow. She said "sorry, I guess you would like another straw?" and never came back to table. A runner brought out food which two of the kids order strawberries and yogurt and never received a spoon to eat it, had to use a fork. Then this waiter asks by and acted like he was annoyed " yall good". He came back offered husband and I tea we said yes, I'll bring ya one. Then he returned did yall want dessert or your check, at this time we are beyond pissed with service. He brings check and said he would take care of it when ya ready, I looked to see if monitor was on ro pay and of course none of them are working, he comes back said I'll check ya out, I'm asked to speak to the manager. The manager came and I explained everything that his wait staff had said and done gave him the check and card to pay out, he said he was gonna discount the ticket and would be back, he gave us 48.00 to 26 total diff. Please think twice before you have this done...

Just left…. After a little over an hours time. (Saturday 3:45-4:53 on our way home to Oklahoma from a week in Galveston.) Someone took our drink order & said our waitress would be with us in just a couple minutes. (She was working on another tables ticket.). Great. No problem. Over 5 minutes later still no waitress. Overheard another waitress just walking in if she needed to go ahead & clock in & she did. She (Jennifer) came over & took our order. Alright, here we go. 😁👍 Mom & I ordered the wonton tacos (appetizer) for our meal & they came out before the husband’s. I was done eating when she came over to ask if it was one ticket, he mentioned he hasn’t even received his food yet & she remembered what he ordered & said she would go check on it. When she finally came back around she said it should be done in a couple minutes & I asked if it just got turned in & she apologetically said yes. So… we waited longer… & some more… & he finally got his food. Yes, thankfully it was nice & HOT. (That would have been a whole other issue after this wait, lol). So it was good & he finished eating while Mom & I watched tv (thank goodness there was that to keep us occupied 😄). Jennifer was very apologetic & had the manager adjust the ticket. Although at this point I’m still irritated, I feel like she did everything she could & we were just ready to get back on the road. BUT…. Where is the manager??? Never once did they come out to check on us or express their apology or concern. I mentioned to the waitress to mention to the manager that they should have came out to the table & she offered to go get them if I wanted. No, probably best I don’t, just a little heated. Back in the car & realized out of frustration when the waitress brought out our change, I left without leaving a tip….. for the waitress,...
