You know reading the review Miguel left is really resonate in what I’m about to say. I would read if you are on the fritz on eating here. About a week ago I took my girl out here for a casual dinner and I usually do the 3 for me and get the dip trio as a upgrade on my entree. The first time the chips and dip were great and I got a old timer with no thousand island or whatever sauce they put on it and just wanted mustard. Well the dip trio is very filling so I ate my fries that came with my burger and the dips and took my burger home only to find there was thousand island on it but hey that was my fault as well I should have checked. I didn’t leave a review because I figured I was being a Karen and mistakes happen. So we fast forward to today and this time I got the same thing and the dip trio my gosh, the chips were stale and the skillet queso was runny and liquidy just the whole appetizer was just very offputting. My entree comes out which was the same way my time previously that I mentioned and I went to eat the fries and today is Monday they had to be the fries from the weekend I’ve never had such old fries from a restaurant. But you know I still wasn’t going to leave a bad review I get things happen. So being grossed out I just took my burger to go nothing else. An old timer with no thousand island or whatever add mustard. Just now at 11pm got my appetite back from being grossed out went to eat my burger and behold Mayonnaise all over the burger. In a way it’s my fault for not checking but I just automatically assume good service because I manage in a service industry environment. With Applebees on fairmont being right down the road and I’ve never had an issue with them in years, What am I to do? It’s sad really! I feel the kitchen manager has to go or upper management needs to be more hands on the orders going out and food quality because 60 dollars later I have been let down and disappointed in 2 total situations back to back! It saddens me to write this so late but I hope to see better if I do come back. There's glimpses of greatness for the
price and that's the huge attraction but I don't like gambling on quality of food. I'm not paying taco...
Read moreI normally don't give this bad of review , but this day was the worse. This is not the 1st time either. The waiter sat us down and brought the drinks. I gave the order and let him.know I had one to go also. He said il take it later . Was waiting on the salad before he would bring food but nope he brought it all at once. He brought me the wrong order. I could not see the waiter for a while.so I ate the salad and as we still waited our waiter never came by to check on our table to see if we needed anything. I was ready to go and leave ASAP I was so discusted with service and the food. So I still waited to see if I could just take the order in a box until hostess walked by and I asked for a box and she said ok and never brought it. So I go up to look for a box myself and then asked the hostess if I could get my bill she said she couldn't do that, so I asked if I could pay on those machines on the table cause I didn't have one. She said no I can't get you one either. So by this time I was furious I got up and asked for manager, mind you I still didn't see the waiter all this time if he did come out must have been real quick and left without checking on tables. While waiting I orderd my other food to go on my phone since they seem to have a problem with waiters Manager said it's cause of shift change is probably why. I understand but that's no excuse at all. Even if there was 1 waitress or waiter on the floor that person should still help on the other tables to see if anything else needed. It wasn't that packed heck it was 4 tables that's should have been taken care if while other employees come in! Ridiculous reason customer service still should be done and also teamwork. Helping ppl while shift change occurs.. Manager said she would take care of the bill and apologized. But the one who should have apologized was the waiter at least to give last round before leaving . Won't come back here ! They need to all be retrained on customer service and what shall one do when shift changes if no one is available then get the...
Read moreOur waitress was fine. She was nice, she didn’t seemed thrilled to be there though, but she treated us really well, maybe she was tired.
The southwest egg rolls were probably my favorite thing of the night. They were awesome. I got a burger with fries. The burger was okay, but the fries were kind of cold. I didn’t want to be “that customer” who complains so I just ate them. My girlfriend got the Margarita Chicken and that was really good. We got a mango and black berry tea, they weren’t as sweet as I thought they would be, but that’s a good thing. I thought they were just going to taste like syrup. So if you’re looking for a flavored tea that isn’t too sweet, I’d recommend those.
So, they installed these new overhead lights somewhere in the middle of the dining room and wow, they were so bright. Maybe it was the angle that it hit me from where I was sitting, but it was so annoying. It was an eyesore to a point I was going to ask if we could be sat somewhere else. At first, the hostess was going to sit us at these tiny booths, and I asked her if we could sit somewhere else. I didn’t want to ask be placed somewhere else a second or third time so we just stayed.
I was pretty disappointed with the dessert. It took a really long time to come out, and I get that, that’s okay stuff takes time, but when it finally did come out, it was super over done and not soft at all. I remember the cookie being soft, this one just kept breaking into pieces because it was so hard. You can see in the picture where it’s actually sideways it’s so hard, it’s just sitting there at an angle like a disc.
At that point, with the lighting, the cold fries, and the hard cookie I just wanted to leave. We paid, left her a nice tip because none of those things were her fault, and left. Overall, a mediocre visit and experience. I feel this place isn’t what it used to be. I don’t know if I’ll be...
