McDonald's — Restaurant in Pauls Valley

Ordered easily on the kiosk. Went to sit in the dining area in the kids play area and found that it wasn't crowded or full bit was very unhappy to find that every table, chair and the floor were all covered with bits of food, wrappers,and straw paper. Thought maybe an employee would come in sometime during the hour and clean up or at least sweep up the floor since it was only my family there and 2 other families but no such luck. Then when we received our food I was completely in disbelief at how this McDonald's is skimping on everything and still charging way too much for their food. I ordered a fillet-o fish with extra tartar sauce, lettuce and tomatoes. When I opened it up because I didn't see any lettuce, I found a tiny sliver of lettuce and these tiny tomatoes. I didn't know they even come that small and to know that McDonald's buys them and they think that is quality? A good value for what I paid for? I don't think so. I took it back and they added a proper amount and size to my fillet- they didn't even make me a new one so by now it was cold. My daughter ordered a crispy Chicken sandwich with no lettuce and no tomatoes. Well she got that but they only put a tiny nickel size spot of mayo on it, the buns were burnt and all squashed. The Happy meals that were ordered didn't have the apple slices ordered but yogurt and everyone's burger buns were squashed and the patties are now paper thin. Ive been to other McDonald's and they weren't as bad as this one with the skimping but all the hamburger patties are now half the thickness they used to be but are over a dollar more in cost now. I'm not impressed with this location. It is right of Interstate 35, so you would think the service would be "fast-paced" and food quality to be great, as they should handle a large number of customers and get plenty of experience with those aspects...it was not. It seemed they were going at a slower than normal pace and the food quality was lacking from a usual McDonald's taste. We asked for sweet and sour sauce for the nuggets at the speaker. When we arrived at the window and received our food, there was no sauce. We asked before leaving the window and was handed Ranch. We asked again for sweet and sour sauce and explained he handed us Ranch and he said in a lackluster voice...ok, and went to get the requested sauce. No emotion or enthusiasm. The amount of food given was not ideal. When you order a large fry...you expect a LARGE fry. Not a medium fry in a large container. Same goes for the drinks. There was a good inch between the top of the liquid and the lid. The chicken nuggets were harder than usual and almost NEEDED sauce, not crisp and juicy. If you have eaten at McDonald's, which almost everyone has, you know what you're getting...unless it's a new menu item. Don't hold this location to the same standards as other you have visited. I've been here multiple times and maybe, 1 out of every 6, the food quality and service can be ranked up there with the national McDonald's level.

Restaurant feedback; first I want to emphasize that previous experiences had been wonderful, making this a favorite McDonalds location for my husband and I. We had never had a terrible experience prior to today. We used the app as always to make an order and waited over 30 minutes, all the while cars that had come after us and waiting in curbside came and went. Waiting is not usually an issue but their were three different young employees (2 girls, one blonde and one short with long brown hair and one young man with coiled hair) came out with bags of food each going to one car after another asking what food the customers ordered. It was apparent there was or had been some sort of mix up and after the 20 minute mark a couple managers came out and were trying to mitigate. Accidents happen and people get impatient and sometimes take food that isnt theirs which is what I imagined happened to ours, the big deal is how it was handled which was not very well. We were asked several times by multiple people what food we had ordered and after 30 minutes the young man came out with ours and said they had given us large fries instead of medium as an apology for the wait; the thing is we already ordered large fries! Thats what we would have gotten anyways. I suspect that these young people must have been new and as someone who worked several years in food service I try to be understanding but again the situation was handled super poorly.
