Joe Coffee and Espresso Bar — Restaurant in Payson

I went to this location 2 times and both times I did not feel very welcomed. The first time coming in the workers seemed very stuck up, barely acknowledged us when we walled in. The second time coming in the order taker was nice & when I asked her about a certain drink she said it was good. She relayed our order verbally to the barista (who was already swamped making other orders). When we received the order, one of the sizes was incorrect (which I already had a feeling it would). I pointed it out, and the order taker and batista just looked at us, then the grumpy barista said, "I'll make you another one." She handed us the new drink but didn't say anything else about the incorrect one. No one said "sorry" or showed any sign of caring about us. We ordered Chai lattes both times and they tasted fine on both occasions. Customer service definitely needs to be upped a few notches. I would think with Payson being a small town that people would act a little more friendly, but we are from our of town, so they might not treat outsiders as kindly. Very good coffee in this cozy coffee shop, full of good, friendly staff and family-like vibes. The drinks are very well prepared, (The chocolate covered espresso beans are a nice touch), with an actual thought for taste, unlike charbucks, where it is common knowledge that bean is burned. They also can cater to a variety of dietary limitations, ensuring you receive the type of drink you want, in sync with your lifestyle.

Though, due to its mom-and-pop nature, it can suffer is some logistical areas. Orders can be lost after being placed due to staff communicating purely by word of mouth. No receipts are paired with the orders staff-side, which may result in your order being completely forgotten. I highly recommend this issue be resolved ASAP, as it can become damaging in the long run.

Not that the owner can control this; but just be aware that it's in Payson, and weirdos can be there from time to time.

It's sad how far this place has fallen from my last review and how it was growing up. I've been Coming here since my teen years and it seems each year the people get less and less friendly. Not only were we treated unfriendly today but half my order was wrong and I was met with absolute sarcasm when I asked for the caramel that I stated I wanted 3 times when asked several times to repeat my order... I didn't mention what else was wrong with it and one of my other drinks because of the attitude I was given with my one simple request. Eventually I got my caramel but it was shoved on top of the whipped cream instead of in with the coffee like its always been when I've asked for caramel... So very disappointed not only with the service but the taste of everything. After the way I've been talked down to the last couple times Joe's might of lost a long time...
