This was my first time at this location and it was not the most pleasant experience. I came with family who were in town. We were greeted and seated quickly, which was great. The food came out pretty fast and it was good. My issue was with our waitress. I would say she was aggressive and came off rude. I wasn’t sure what it was, but it was unpleasant as a patron.
It is a much better customer experience to SUGGEST, rather than taking control of the ordering experience. When we first sat down, there were 4 of us. She immediately said “This is one ticket, right?”. It felt like she was telling us rather than asking. Not a big deal.. still a decent experience at this point. I went with it and said one ticket, even though that was not what was originally planned.
The other issue was when ordering entrees. We were all getting something on the back menu, I was getting the lunch special. I started to state my order, gave my starter and she immediately cuts me off and tells me to wait rather than taking my entree.I was confused, because it was not explained what she was doing, she just cut me off mid sentence, twice with no explanation. Turns out, she was going to get everyone’s starter and then she get everyone’s entree, which I understand. However, the manner in which this was done was odd. Getting cut off mid sentence while ordering was something I’ve never experienced in any restaurant, even with large parties. If she took the time to say, “ I will grab your starters first and then get your entree selection” it would make it easier for us to adjust to what was happening, which brings us to the last issue.
My mother was trying to order, my mother, being a older in her 60’s choosing her starter, she tends to get anxiety when ordering, so she has to take her time. She decided on Chips/salsa, which was also the starter for two of the others at the table. The waitress said “don’t get that, get something else” in an assertive tone. Her reasoning being that others at the table had chips and salsa. She then tells my mom what to get for her starter, which she didn’t want. She tells her a second time to pick something else before my mother had to say, she don’t want that, she wanted the chips and salsa.
It would have been a more pleasurable experience if she provided her with some options as I appreciate the expertise of the staff. Suggestions are welcome, but telling people what not to get or telling them what to get is not customer service. I hope this can be used as feedback for the better. But I can’t say I will return again as this was one of the most uncomfortable experiences I have had ordering at a restaurant. Much of this review does not factor in tone, which I cannot convey very well, but I would describe it as...
Read moreWe visited on 12/26/2019 and encountered terrible service when we first arrived. There were only a couple of cars in the parking lot and maybe 2-3 tables were taken by guests. When we walked there was no one at the front to seat us and we waited a few minutes for a server in the back to look up and realize there were several parties waiting to be greeted and seated. When we were seated, our server didn’t come out to take our drink orders for at least 10 minutes. When she did show up she disappeared for a while before bringing our drinks out. (I could understand if the restaurant was busy but it wasn’t). We finally ordered our food 30 minutes after we were seated (we love Chili’s so we knew exactly what we wanted to order when we arrived but our server kept disappearing). We waited another 30 minutes for our food to come out and the kid’s pizzas came out 10 minutes before the rest of our table. The quality of the food was poor and not what you would expect from Chili’s. Our server was not attentive and I had to go find napkins because she would never bring any after I asked a couple of times. I know these are all very small issues but when they all happen in one visit and at a location where you enjoy visiting, it is very disappointing. When she finally came back to the table I asked for a container and as I was boxing up my food I discovered a gray hair at the bottom of my fajitas on the skillet. I had to wait a few more minutes for her to return to the table to let her know about the hair. She took the plate and said “I’ll let someone know”. Eventually some guy came to the table and asked how we were doing and then stood there and stared at us. He didn’t introduce himself so I have no idea if he was a manager or another server but I asked if he was there because of the hair in my food and he said yes. He said that he would tell the kitchen staff to wear their head gear and he will remove the fajitas from the bill. Our original server came back with the bill and of course we had to wait for her to finally return with the credit card so we could sign and leave. Needless to say I was totally disappointed and disgusted by the whole experience. This is the kind of service you would expect from a fast...
Read moreI am writing to express my disappointment with my recent visit to this location. From the moment we were seated, the service was incredibly slow and unresponsive. It took 15 minutes just to be greeted and offered water. We placed our order immediately upon first contact with our server, yet we watched multiple tables—seated after us—receive their food before we did.
Throughout the meal, we had to repeatedly request assistance just to get refills on water. Our waitress never checked in on us, and after waiting over an hour for our food, we had to ask another staff member to find her. When she finally arrived, I asked her to check on our order, and she returned shortly after with our food.
The Big Bite sandwiches were inedible—the bread was so hard it crumbled upon biting. When I requested a replacement, the waitress brought me an empty plate to transfer the burgers myself before taking them to the back. Instead of making fresh sandwiches, the kitchen simply replaced the top bun and sent the food back out. I knew this because I had marked the burgers, and the bottom bun was still rock hard. To take my food back into the kitchen and only replace half the bun is completely unacceptable.
Beyond the food quality, the lack of service and attention to guests was frustrating. We even had to beg for basic drink refills, including a lemon drop margarita. Overall, this experience was extremely disappointing, and I feel like I wasted $60 on poor service and subpar food.
I hope Chili’s takes this feedback seriously, as this visit has made me reconsider dining at your restaurant...
