I will try to make this brief, but words cannot describe how amazeballs my meal was at Newks Eater of peachtree City GA (georgia) To begin, I wandered into this establishment (Newks) after a long day trucking. (i was transporting precious cargo from richmond to macon). As soon as I walked into the threshold between the outside world of PTC (peachtree city georga) and the establishment of Newks (Newk's Eatery), the ambience really hit me. I truly felt home for the first time in months. For some background, my wife and I got recently divorced because we were debating on how to spend the will of my grandfather (Charlie Ergot). For some background, Charlie Ergot died on April 21, 2018. He drowned on an anniversary trip to the Okefenokee Swamp (in Georiga) to celebrate the date he and his second mistress wife got wed (married). He fell off the board walk and landed face first into a tangle of roots. They couldn't pry him out and he was declared dead at 3:18 PM EST. His inheritance was mostly sent to me (Butch Ergot). For some background, I was born June 4th (a month before 4th of July/American Independence Day). I went to Akron High school in Akron, Mississippi. The town became bankrupt in the 90s and was absorbed by Jackson Mississippi, but that's a tale for another time. I married my beautiful wife, Chicarga Ergot. (her Maiden name is Weathersby). We married May 28th, 2003. Exactly 23 days after my father would die on that fateful day in 2018. We have two wonderful daughters who were born in Saint Paul's hospital in Forth Jamima, Nebraska. They aren't twins but were born on the same day three years aprt. They are our little miracles. One is now 9 and the other is 4. (I will not disclose their names for privacy reasons) Anyways, I digress. Back to modern day. For some background, as I was entering the Newks cafeterium I was really craving some Turkey Lime bean Soup. It was my favorite food growing up and my mother (Wilma Ergot) Maiden name (Frost). She was my father's first wife, but she has been my favorite mom so far. I just got off the phone with my wife (Chicarga) and we were talking about our two little miracles/daughter (Selma and Aura).
The food was good I ordered a Five Cheese Macn Cheese. I mat be lactose tolerant (its genetic), but boy do i love some macaroni cheese. My clerk was nice enough. But still, the atmosphere was the real sinker. (sinker from the popular idiom hook line & sinker).
Fair enough "i said
Boy boy it was delcious. My cook was amazing! I wasn't suprised that a little asian boy could move his hands that fast. (they are famous for kung fu after all..)
For some background on the situation, The Chinese Exclusion Act prevented the billions of chinese poeple from entering the Americas (picture related). I hate that our government did this. As I white person i am ashamed of our culture. Luckily, president canceled the act back in 2011 and the chinese immigrits were allowed to come over. They were so eager to come over there are now thousands of chinese today in the united states of americas. luckily this little guy made his way over to peacthree city (georgia). thank you for the great...
Read moreWorst customer service by management I’ve EVER experienced! Placed a call in order at the Newnan location on yesterday for a veggie pizza-picked it up and it was missing the portobello mushrooms (the reason I even ordered it in the first place)… no big deal, I didn’t have time to send it back as I was working and besides, the manager there brought my food out with the most PLEASANT service you could ask for. Fast forward to today, as I had to discard over half my pizza the day prior due to it having no mushrooms, I placed an order for the same pizza online and paid to have EXTRA mushrooms. This time, I was picking up in PeachtreeCity- Opened the box, and NO mushrooms AGAIN— ok, now I wanted it corrected— the young lady helping me was awesome, took the concern back and had them remake the pizza—great—however, now I have a car with other people waiting on my order to get fixed before we could continue on to pick up their orders from a different restaurant—waiting patiently, I kindly asked the server if she thinks the manager would comp me a slice of cake for the inconvenience (to give to folks waiting on me) which by now, has spanned 2 separate occasions—cheerfully, she said she would check with management—Rather than being apologetic for the inaccuracy of the order as well as for the inconvenience of the experience, the manager came out and had me to recount AGAIN what I’d experienced and continued to emphasize the fact that he understood ALL OF THAT, BUT that my order did get corrected and basically I could accept a coupon for a rice crispy treat -take it or leave it kind of attitude-although I expressed that we didn’t eat those so it would not benefit me to accept it—in a nutshell, His attitude, tone, facial expressions and all were NOT indicative of a manger who values customers and cares that they have an enjoyable dining experience. In the end, he reluctantly snatched a piece of the red velvet cake from the shelf and gave it to me. I’ve never had such a horrible experience at a restaurant and have never written a review—however customers need to keep this management in mind when choosing where to dine in PeachtreeCity, GA. Kudos to the Newnan location manager, however—just for having such a service friendly attitude. For that reason, I will be revisiting the Newnan location , however you couldn’t pay me to step foot back into the one in PeachtreeCity....
Read more11/2/2018 Updated review: Alright my PTC restaurant reviewer's here is the Newk's update for all interested. We went around 1:30 for lunch and had the pleasure of meeting with the GM Nelson. He took care of us today and let us that the Team has been trained more on special requests. Sure a sub pasta is not a big thing, but my God it's delicious (I request it everytime). Everything came out as requested, it was delicious and well portioned. We felt as welcomed as ever and we will continue to be regulars at Newk's, now at the PTC location.
Updated review: I just spoke with management and they are willing to sub my pasta. They are also want us to give them another try and are comping a meal when we come in next time. This is awesome customer service and we are excited to go back. I am very pleased with the GM Nelson and his social media manager Stephanie.Their responses were quick and reaching out to me was of vital importance I could tell. I write a lot of honest reviews and it really shows how much management cares even when they respond to a good comment or a disappointing one. The food was still delicious by the way and always has been.
Newk's Review: I go to Newk's with my family once a week in Newnan, but now we are thrilled to have the new one in PTC. It is very nice inside and not as small as I thought it would be. For as long as I can remember we have always ordered the 1/2 farmers market with a sub pasta (I highly recommend). This location refused to accommodate my request even if I was willing to pay an upcharge for the pasta (which I never have before). The young lady training the other young lady let us know they are not supposed to do this and refused to accommodate us. She also informed me if I just ordered the large size sandwich I could get the pasta. I don't how on earth I could eat that much. Unfortunately, I was holding up the line trying to scrammble for a second option. I ended up picking the Lobster Bisque soup. It was a disappointing first impression. We received our meals and noticed how the sizes were significantly smaller then we have had in the past. Overall the food was good, the location is nice, the staff friendly, but it's different here and I doubt I am the only one who...
