Food was really great. I got pulled chicken, fried green tomatoes, and Mac n cheese. Oh and banana pudding.
Highlights - the chicken was tender and moist. Even left over which was amazing. The Alabama white sauce is amazing.
Mac and cheese was real homemade Mac n cheese. It was well made. Noodles weren't mushy and made with real cheese.
Fried green tomatoes were just okay. The tomatoes were a bit too green the tartness overpowered everything. Breading needed more kick to overcome that....but dipping them in that white sauce made it much better.
It also had pickles and pickled onions both were good enough to mention. Also.the marinated slaw was great as a garnish. They were a really nice additions that added great flavors. Also comes with an awesome piece of cornbread that was moist, flavorful.
The banana pudding was good but coming from a southern family it left me a little underwhelmed. It was good, super creamy but not very banana, idk if they blend them up in there..or i just got one that had no banana. It was just okay. Wouldn't waste the calories next time. Mayne it was let down because it was hyped up and recommended but....no it's a miss for me.
Atmosphere was fast-food feeling but with a bunch of tvs playing sports. Very bright lighting. Just felt cold and definitely not a place to hang out. Eat and go kind of place. It was clean though.
The staff- big miss. The girl working the front was super annoyed that they had to actually like, be bothered with people, ugh the worst. When I asked if the Mac n cheese was real.cheese or sauce..she said I don't know, do you want me to ask. Then sighed and begrudgingly walked 5 ft to the pass to the back when I said yes. She was at least nice when she...
Read moreI have to say, I am a whole BBQ foodie and still kind of new to my area. One of my favorite thins to eat is BBQ. I finally had the opportunity to come by Moe’s Original BBQ and taste this 4.4 star rated restaurant (stars really matter to me). When I walked in it was very clean and I was properly greeted. I asked to sit at their bar and as I walked around I was pleased to see my favorite alcoholic beverage to have with my BBQ. Low key, perfect combination. The bar tender was extremely polite and knowledgeable of their menu. I mentioned to him that is was my first time here and I was excited to taste their food. I ordered their small plate St. Louis ribs….and OMG they are so very good. Nice and tender and come right off the bone. My sides were the baked beans, which were not runny but were nice thick and flavorful. I also got the collard greens, which in my opinion were a tad bit bitter but they were cooked to perfection. The cornbread wasn’t crumbly and dry, it was nice, sweet and fluffy with a hint of jalapeños. I also had the pleasure of tasting two of their desserts. The Banana Pudding and The Chocolate Pie. I’m not going to lie, when I ate the Banana Pudding, I expected to find some more crunch but it was just the one cookie at the top. This was okay because the Banana Pudding was delicious so was The Chocolate Pudding. The entire staff made me feel welcomed. I can’t wait to return to try the Fried Catfish...
Read moreDefinitely a miss in several areas. The girl(teenager) on the phone was very pleasant taking my order. They were out of wings. I want y'all to see what I paid $30 for so see attached photos. Walked in and noticed nothing but high schooler/teenagers = run....whenever you see this with restaurants, it's not a good sign. Food was rediculously priced, please go to Shane's Rib Shack and get more food and pay half the amount. I couldn't finish the ribs or the turkey that didn't even taste that smoked because it was so salty and make sure they don't give you the miniature ribs under the bigger ribs.....Mac n cheese = horrible, tasted like 80% butter 20% Kraft cheese....the baked beans were the best out of everything I ate...potato salad tasted like cafeteria food.....cornbread, muhhh....asked the lady whether they had different flavored bbq sauces and she said it should be in the to go bag but wasn't and proceeded to go grab 2 sauces, handed them to me like she didn't want to touch my hands, and then never answered the question....and this was the Owner/Manager or someone more important because she was an older lady....Please take the advice and work on what y'all are serving ppl & your attitude specifically. I really won't my money back because this was a horrible experience across the board, except for the girl taking my to go order before I arrived. Oh and the sweet tea was...
