Zoes Kitchen was our favorite spot when visiting Pearland. Once we tried CAVA, we loved the experience! We frequent the Heights and Spring Stuebner locations. Upon arrival to the Pearland location we are usually greeted by a tall gentleman who is very helpful and has great customer service. On Saturday, Dec 16th, however, we did not receive the service we anticipated. We were not greeted nor addressed by the staff. We stood in front of the register for a while with no line in front of us. We watched several ladies preparing meals behind the cooking station. There were 2 ladies in the area behind the register prepping that also did not acknowledge us. We continued to stand there patiently until a lady approached the register. As a General Manager of a customer centered establishment in the city of Houston, managing a very successful team, customer service is the pillar of success. Unfortunately, this simple lesson has not been taught to the team present during our visit. The young lady who finally appeared after closing the money bags and washing her hands approached the counter, while putting on her gloves and quietly asked, "What can I get you"? I proceeded to inform her that it would have been nice to be greeted or told that they would serve us shortly. Neither occurred. She sarcastically laughed and stated she didn't see us standing there. She responded there were two women in the area that should have greeted us. I noticed her name tag on her hat was "Sam". I asked her who was the manager and maybe we should share what happened to improve the customer service. She abruptly responded that she was the manager. I expressed to her that it would be beneficial to teach that simple measure to improve their services. She responded offensively, saying she did not need my "nice-nasty". If it was received that way, that is her perception. My intent was to professionally, yet firmly bring to the manager's attention what occurred. She needs leadership training and the people in this establishment need guidance as well. Needless to say, my 11 year old son was with me, who looked visibly offended by her remarks. After waiting patiently for service and receiving her negativity, we left without purchasing anything. If it were my location, I would want to be informed and address this type of behavior immediately. Her demeanor and negative reception to feedback does not warrant the position to lead others. I was appalled and will not return to this location anytime soon. We will continue to enjoy CAVA locations that we frequent who offer stellar service. Adjustments need to be made immediately or suffer the loss of profits as a result of negative leadership.

Read moreThis place is like a revolving door for staff. I'm vegan, so unfortunately, I have to be picky, and the staff has mishandled my food several times, and one of the times my food tasted like sour rotting fish and I got sick after eating there, so I'm not sure what he put in my food but it was really not cool at all for him to pull a scummy move like that. This was when a manager took my food into the back to prepare it instead of making my food in front of me, the guy didn't even call me to tell me that he couldn't handle my order before I showed up to pick up my food. I got there and had to wait, they didn't even try at all. I think he gave me a coupon, but after he did what he did, I swore I'd never give their location a single dollar ever again. Which sucks, because, this place is super great for vegans. Everything is clearly labeled vegetarian and vegan in bold letters. Everyone there is usually friendly and nice, but they tend to talk behind your back and that also sucks because I really love this place, I just don't like the people they keep hiring. This location has gone downhill and no matter how much you complain, they can't seem to fix it. I can usually get something for about 15 bucks and have enough food left over to be able to eat twice, which is nice, but even then, that's still expensive. I used to recommend this place to everyone, but the staff they keep hiring and firing makes it hard to recommend to other people. The first time I complained, they fired everyone, and I mean everyone. They replaced them with people who were great, but then it just got more and more worse. Unfortunately for this company, I will not be coming back to this location. IDK who is in charge of hiring there, but they definitely need to get their act together, because this is absolutely ridiculous for a company to even operate this way or hire people that do the things that...
Read moreThis was the worst place that we have eaten at in Pearland so far. Customer service –It was our first time here, customer service was really bad. I told the girl it was our first time here so we can get some help ordering, and she stared at me and was obviously annoyed. She did not help. The cashier was really nice though.
Cleanliness - The person cleaning the tables was using a dirty rag and just wiping the food off the tables onto the floor without cleaning it up. There was no spray being used on the tables or other cleaning products. There was food all around us on the floor. My husband was so disgusted he couldn’t finish his meal and threw it away.
Cost – ended up costing us $30 for two bowls and two small drinks, way too much for this kind of food and experience. They are very stingy with the bowls, mine wasn’t filled all the way.
Food- Hit or miss. I had the lamb meatballs which were good, rice was flavorless. Chicken was not great. My husband tried two different drinks, one that he did not like. I tried the strawberry citrus which I liked.
If you were looking for bowls, definitely recommend halal guys or chipotle instead. If you were just looking to go out for some casual food, anywhere in Pearland is...
