First Watch — Restaurant in Pearland

I visited this location and was surprised to find that they have the worst service. I found them on DoorDash but seen the pickup for food would only take ten minutes so u decided to wait until I was there to place my order so my food would not be cold on the way home.

Once arked in front of the restaurant I placed my order, still showing food to be ready for pickup within ten minutes (12:50pm). Right at the ten minute mark I walk in and was told it’ll be out shortly. One waitress came around but wasn’t my order. I wasn’t asked the name for my order or anything. As guest walked in they were seated, but only one was there for pickup. Around 1:00 I inquired about my order and was told “ one moment “. I wasn’t approached again until 1:10. At this time the manager of the kitchen is out in the dinning area then everyone asked for my order TO FIND OUT IT HAD NEVER BEEN MADE. No one apologized or anything. The manager just told the staff to cook it fast and get it out.

I asked if I could sit at the bar while I waited and was told yes. Walking over to the bar there is a man at the register. He never spoke never asked if I needed anything and never said someone would be to assist me. Finally a woman walks over and asked if I wanted a drink but by this point I was highly irritated.

Around 1:22 my food finally comes out. And it looked exactly as the manager said… cooked fast.

This was such a disappointment and the food wasn’t good and some of the items were cold.

I’ve been to this location a total of three times and every time the food is very consistent. I’ve come to the conclusion that I love their French toast, so I always get their French toast. I love that their syrup is warm. One thing I would like them to change is the way they make potatoes the way they make the potatoes are good however, this last time literally almost all of my potato cubes were hard in the middle and not fully cooked through. A friend from California was visiting me and she wanted to go to breakfast but wanted to go to a place that was kid friendly and the first thing that popped into my head. It was first watch, she enjoyed the food. We also enjoyed the kale delight juice that they had. I don’t like it how I wanted to add ginger but the waitress told me that it already had ginger in it which it didn’t but AnyWho the small things. We got there before the rush, which was around 930 on a Sunday. We got sat immediately as we were leaving there was a wait, when I went to the restroom, I noticed that it was a little messy but like I said it was a busy Sunday breakfast brunch morning I would just suggest as fast as they’re clearing tables. I would hope that someone would be available to go into the restroom and clear that up During busy hours. Also, their payment system or the way the restaurant is laid out it’s very unorganized. It starts to form a line out the door where people are coming in to be sat and leaving at the same time and it just gets very messy and unorganized towards the front...

Management gets FIVE stars because that’s what makes this place golden and it’s the reason I keep coming back. I gave four stars because my family are frequent visitors here and we usually have great service, however today’s service was terrible. No tip provided. Unfortunately she never mentioned her name, but today she is over the four table area adjacent to the kitchen and parallel the bar, she had a burgundy red ponytail, black headband, beige almond nails and appeared Hispanic. She may be new. Nevertheless, she brought out a cold waffle. When addressed, she brought a hot one and another plate to throw out the cold one, but before I received my hot one, she asked for the cold waffle. Then I had to ask her to take the plate she brought to the table back to the kitchen. My mom asked for a Pineapple Express, and she never brought it out. Thankfully the manager (black guy, beautiful spirit) took care of my family and provided us hot waffles and a hot French toast for my husband then my mom received her drink at the counter by a more capable server. Overall, this is a nice breakfast/brunch spot, just be aware of those rare bad servers and alert the manager so that you walk away satisfied.
