We went to dinner this Sunday afternoon March 12 2017, my friend and I. To the restaurant dennys with the location 11221 Broadway Tx 77584, 19:28 pm. It has been the most unpleasant experience being in a restaurant dennys. We had never been treated in such a denigrating and disrespectful way. The waitress who took care of us from the first moment we attended in very bad way. She did not take us to our table, she simply said that we would take what we wanted. She took more than 10 minutes to take our order, and when she did, she carried with her in her hand a glass of coffee she was drinking. My friend and I told her what we wanted to order. She did not write down our order in any paper, she just said she would bring it in a moment. Then the waitress sat down to talk to some customers who were behind us, she was there for a long time and she never asked if we were offered anything else. After a while I got my plate, and she said that my friend's plate would be in a couple of more minutes because she had forgotten to put my friend's order, then she placed the order on another receipt. Wow! Then I told her that I needed more coffee, always in a friendly way, and she told me she would come back with more coffee for me. It took 10 minutes for my friend to receive her plate, and the waitress never took the coffee rate I asked for. Then we called the manager who was in those moments present. He was a man, but we did not get his name. We told him what was going on and we told him that we just wanted to pay for the coffee and leave. We did not eat the food that arrived late to our table. And he just said ok. At the time of payment they charged for the first plate that arrived at our table, with a cost of $ 8.65. I repeat, we never ate the food. I just paid the receipt and left the restaurant, a really unpleasant experience and we are sure that we will never eat there again. The waitress who attended us did not have a nametag. She had red hair, and was American white with tattos But on the receipt I received said that we were served by Chelsea, cashier Kalil. I do not want any retribution. Read moreMe and my family have been coming to Denny's on Pearland for several years and have only been disappointed twice and it's sad because it's only one the evening shift.Last night my husband and I went around 5:15pm.We ordered Beef Soup,a side salad,Lumberjack,coffee,and a Sprite.The waiter Marquel was GREAT!!He explained that they were under staffed and thanked us for having patience.After sitting for maybe 15-20 minutes more customers started to arrive.A family of 4 or 5 came in and were seated and order taken.Marquel served my salad first and maybe 5 minutes later he bought the soup,but it was cold.He took it back hand somebody reheated it in the microwave. We continued to laugh and talk and my husband noticed the family that came in after us being served their food🤷♀️.We had Marquel to double check to find out why a family of 4 or 5 was being served their full meal and we wasn't?Since they were short staffed Marquel was the waiter and bus boy and his MANAGER LINDA was RUDE & UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!She upset because she has to be the CASHIER,COOK,& NIGHT MANAGER.He tried to explain to her that we hadn't received our food and we were there first.When my husband food was FINALLY served, the presentation of the food was HORRIBLE!!!!The hash browns were greasy and the eggs were hard and dried out.He told them to take it off the bills and he was ready to go.Marquel stayed professional and told Linda I wanted to talk to her and she started hollering at him and asking him "WHAT DID THEY EAT BECAUSE I KNOW THEY ATE SOMETHING"?He couldn't get a word in and when I tried to talk to her she threw her hands in the air and responded by shouting once again,"DON'T WORRYING ABOUT IT I GOT IT AND WALKED OFF WITHOUT ACKNOWLEDGING THAT I WAS EVEN STANDING THERE"!!LINDA need to be retrained,change careers, or maybe retire because she's DEFINITELY not a people person.We will NEVER returns on the night shift as long as LINDA is there.We tipped Marquel eventhough he insisted that we didn't have to but we wanted to because he want above and beyond to accommodate us unlike his UNPROFESSIONAL AND VERY DISRESPECTFUL...
Read moreWent there tonight for a quick dinner date with my hubby (we have always loved Denny's and thought we would try out this location since we just moved here from Houston). The server was a young man named Nicholas who was super sweet. You could tell he hasn't been waiting tables long but he was so eager and friendly. No complaints about this young man. We ordered two All American breakfasts and a side of pancakes at 7:30 pm when he took our order. He came back a couple times saying that the kitchen was really busy (mind you, hardly anyone was in the restaurant). We noticed two tables nearby complaining about not getting their food, which they finally got. A half hour passed and we still hadn't been served. I told the young waiter to please tell the kitchen or a manager to get us our food. I was super hungry and distressed by this point. I waved to the manager up at the front - my receipt says her name was Linda. She looked at me and ignored me, and went another direction. Finally, after 45 minutes from the time we ordered, he brought out one All American meal and pancakes. We ordered two and only got one. There were a mound of eggs on the plate... The equivalent of about six scrambled eggs... There was no cheese on them like there was supposed to, either. While he asked the kitchen to make another plate, my husband and I ate from the same dish. The eggs did not taste great at all but I was hungry and ate it. After another twenty minutes, the other plate came out which we had them put in a to go box. The waiter was apologetic and I told him it wasn't his fault that the management and kitchen staff were incompetent. I left him a rather large tip because to feel bad he has to work at such a horrible establishment... And it really was not his fault. Never once did a manager come by and explain why two simple egg breakfasts took almost an hour to receive nor did they comp any portion of this meal.
