If I could say anything positive about my experience, it’s that the place looks nice on the surface and the staff is somewhat respectable. However, the food is nothing short of awful—I'd describe it as "doo-doo water." From the half-spoiled lettuce in the salads to the cheesecakes that taste as if they were marinated in "fart juice," this was my first experience trying Outback, and I’m afraid to try another.
Where do I even begin? The Bloomin' Onion, one of Outback’s signature dishes, was served to me, and I could already tell it was going to be horrible. But looks can be deceiving, so I decided to give it a shot, despite my better judgment. I immediately noticed the raw center, the overcooked and tasteless batter, and the oil spilling from every crevice. I took a bite, and literal oil streamed down my lips. If it weren’t for my culinary background, I wouldn’t have been able to tell that the oil hadn’t been changed since the previous night. My expectations were low, but I fear they have dropped below my basic standards for culinary knowledge.
Next, the health hazard that was their Caesar salad: from the spoiled lettuce to the poor excuse for a dressing, it tasted like floor cleaner was used as the base. To sum it up, it tasted as if I had eaten a polished turd.
Now, for the highlight of the night—my main course, the Bloomin' Burger. The beef itself was actually decent, but everything else was a disaster. The buns were smushed and soggy to the point that they were disintegrating in my hands. On top of that, the tomato slice was as thick as Drake’s wallet, with the core still intact, and the "pickles" looked like spoiled cucumbers.
All in all, this place deserves to be shut down immediately. As an experienced cook, having worked at the Cheesecake Factory and Hard Rock Hotel (the Guitar Hotel), seeing this poor excuse for food compelled me to write my first Google review ever. I’m truly disappointed and appalled by the garbage served to me and my wife. It was a disgusting place to dine at. Believe me, my standards are low for these types of restaurants, but I wouldn’t even feed this food to my dog. It was a waste of time and money. Shame on the owner and staff for serving such trash on a plate.

EGREGIOUS: Read Def: “Outstandingly BAD.”
I’d taken a few bites of my salad before I realized that some of the Iceberg lettuce was partially rotten. After closer examination I realized that the lettuce was so slimy it looked bacteria laden. 🥲 (See attached note about decaying Iceberg & Listeria Food-borne illness… So SAD because the daily, hand-chopped salad here used to be very delectable.)
Then, I moved on to my chicken entree & baked sweet potato which was very overcooked, but edible. (And half the size the entree used to be…)
Shortly thereafter, I got a TERRIBLE stomach ache. (I had surgery a few weeks back & have sutures across my stomach so this was a very painful experience. Now my stomach is swollen on the outside AND inside.) 👎 A challenging week has now turned almost intolerable.
At 1am I woke up with addt’l stomach cramps & horrendous diarrhea (which I am not prone to). I am actually not even just disappointed that this salad made me ill, I’m deeply disturbed. As if I were elderly, an event of ingesting deleterious “food stuffs” could possibly send me to the hospital or worse.
Effectively rotating food stock and properly culling expired items is a basic obligation of a company serving meals to consumers and they are bound by good faith to do this effectively in order to prevent potential harm to the public. This type of “oversight” is frankly unacceptable and probably worthy of a Health Department inspection to see if ALL Health Department Standards are being met.
In summary, I wouldn’t serve this type of decaying, bagged salad to a dog even. I certainly wouldn’t serve it to humans or expect people to pay a premium price for it.
Dec. was my last visit to this location & it wasn’t a pleasant experience, brought out-of-town guests here to treat & the experience was an embarrassment. (I decided then never to patronize dining room again.)
When a family member suggested to order “to-go” last night, that was against my better judgement but they insisted. However, after being up most of the night, unable to sleep with stomach illness from this meal and still feeling very ROUGH this am…
I’m sorry to say, without any future fear of contradiction:
I will NEVER patronize this establishment again. (Worst $100. I’ve...
Read moreWe had a nice family dinner last night celebrating our anniversary. I had a margarita, and my husband had this seasonal maple smoked old-fashioned something. Both drinks were delicious. I don't think you can go to Outback without getting a blooming onion, and while it was delicious, some of the breading was falling off, and we wanted more sauce, lol. We also got the Mac and cheese bites and they were pretty tasty as well. Our daughters got the sirloin and the bloomin chicken, both enjoyed their meals. Baked potatoes were good and the fries too. The Mac and cheese could've been a little cheese but it was still delicious. My husband and I shared this 18oz prime rib it was a seasonal offering with this like maple bacon butter on top. While it was on the fattier side the flavor of the butter mixed with the steak was delicious. We took a chocolate tower home for dessert and even that was delicious. The best part of the meal though was our server Jeanette, she was attentive and entertaining. A total gem of a server. Definitely ask for her if you're headed here.
We went again for dinner tonight 7/2024 and had a nice time. Our server was a little busy we didn't get refills and our glasses were empty and everything just took a lot longer than expected. The food was good though. Blooming onion was way better than last time the breading was crunchy and perfect. The mac and cheese bites were also better this time. I had a sirloin and baked potato everything was cooked well although the steak was a hair salty. My husband and daughter got the blooming burger and both thoroughly enjoyed it. It looked delicious. My husband also tried the shark drink I can't remember the night but he said it was fantastic and the grenadine filled Shark was a nice touch, we named him Jaws. Will be back but maybe not on a busy...
