Just off of Main Street in Pendleton, Sophie's Bagels is a nice lunch or coffee/tea option. The shop is in a former 1930's gas service station building neatly refurbished as a coffee and bagel shop but with tasteful hints of the building's former life retained. The decor is pleasantly bohemian and in fine weather, the restaurant opens up to be open air. Quite an interesting layout. The staff is very attentive and helpful from owner Krishna to the rest of the staff. We were made to feel comfortable and at home on our first visit. I had a lox bagel sandwich on a garlic bagel. My friend had a hummus and veggie sandwich on a pumpernickel bagel with some butternut squash soup. The bagels were delicious and the sandwiches looked appealing. The soup was especially good. On a slightly off note, the coffee was very ordinary. We regretted not getting some boba tea. The prices were not low so this might be more of a special occasion spot than an everyday location but the quality was deserving of the price. Pro Tip: The shop closes at 2PM and some kinds of bagels were already sold out at 1PM when we arrived. It would be wise to visit at noon or earlier if possible in order to get the complete selection.

My husband and I popped in for a bagel on a Sunday. I’m a bagel fanatic, so I was pretty surprised to have never heard of this place. Bagel Fair is my go to so I have high standards. I have to say, my bagel sandwich was absolutely delicious! I got it on an onion bagel and was very impressed. My husband got the buffalo chicken panini and was expecting chicken strips as opposed to deli meat chicken. We both got iced teas, just a regular sweet tea, and they had a really unusual taste- like it had been steeping for days or something. One of the girls who brought us our food was less than friendly when my husband asked a question, but I have to say, none of that matters because the owner was so incredibly kind and sweet to talk to. We would definitely come back and would recommend it if someone was in the area. I’d love it they added some simple canned sodas for sale for us non-Boba addicted people. The restaurant itself was quaint, clean, and just adorable!

Definitely the worst bagel I have ever had in my life. Bagels were all raw and disgusting. My kids didn’t even eat them. I had to leave these bagels and go get a breakfast from somewhere else. I paid $25 for 1 plain bagel with butter , 1 bagel with cream cheese and 1 bagel with 2 slices of roasted beef and tomatoes. Store is very pretty and clean but food is barely 1 star. Please look at the color of my bagels. White as paper lol

I'm a big fan of Sophie's bagels...WAS a big fan of Sophie's bagels in Pendleton. I went in at 9:30 and ordered 4 sandwiches and two bags of chips. I did not get one of the sandwiches and neither bag of chips. When I called to let them know, I could only get an answering machine. I drove back to the store and they offered me the sandwich that had been sitting on a shelf since 9:30 and it was now 11:24. When I asked them to please remake the sandwich because it contains beef, the owner refused to make the new sandwich and said that she hates to throw away food, because it is safe at room temperature for four hours. was not the least bit apologetic. A little concerning, would never leave beef out for four hours, and still eat it. Just very surprised that I had to drive back in because they did not remember to give me all of my order, and they also refused to make me a sandwich that I am willing to eat. This will be my last time...
